 Traveling and going inside a Hospital to see someone is obviously quite different. Don't know about a nanny or anything. I'm sure not everyone in the limelight has one. People tend to only want specific people caring for their child.

I stand by my reasoning in my previous post. I honestly see it that way. But hey, I fully understand that many will see it differently.

 More people will die.   But nothing will stop this.   Because people do what they want to do.  Doesn't matter how many politicians lock themselves away.   I defy anyone to honestly admit they'd leave  a spouse to be ill when they have a child.   He's made a career mistake, but the media witch hunt is way out of proportion to the crime.   And I'd say that if he was Labour, or Liberal, or any political faction.

 Very true. People will largely do what they want no matter what high profile people do or don't do! I've seen people visiting others all through this lockdown sitting in a family members Garden. People blatantly getting close to me in the Supermarkets. 

I would also say the same, regardless of who it was and what part of the Political establishment they came from. WHEN a Child's care is the crux of the matter. Cummings certainly has more valid excuses and reasons for doing what he did than the Scottish MO or the Scientist had.

Most of this just goes back to some people always having it in for Cumming's, his involvement in getting Brexit over the line and all of that. He's going to make statement and answer media questions. I hope he makes the media look the inept bias fools that the majority of them are. I think there's a fair chance of that.

 I think he should resign.  He's cocked up and that's that.  What makes me sick is the level of baying and shirt rending that goes on by the media mob.

 

Fundamental flaws -  the real breaches.   The test drive all 60 miles of it, eyesight iffy, then no drivy. He clearly broke the law at the time driving the 60 mile round trip and then spending in that town at least 20 minutes out of the car with his wife and kid -  this was not to let the kid pee that was at another time

 

Driving the 260+ miles to parents -  Did he not consider calling over his family and taking the kid?  WHAT if they broke down on the 260 mile trip, then others would have been put at risk

 

Was he apologetic at all - NO other than he felt he should have made a statement earlier. But on Friday or Saturday he told reporters on camera "he could not careless."

 

Property at risk - why not seek police protection as he is higher profile than the mayor of London who gets a 400,000 bullet proofed car with bodyguards.

 

Final insult to the public - he insulted their intelligence with lot of BS and contempt and clearly broke the rules he made by driving 60 mile round trip to that town 30 miles from parents home.

 

Btw, he found it easier not to consult family, friends in london but chose to drive 260 miles plus. 

 

When he was in Durham - millions of others are working from home as is, was Boris - WTF could he not do it.

 

Boris is weak and this man has some shit on him and others

I forget to add. He drove the several miles to the hospital and back to pick up his wife and kid - that too broke the rules as a taxi should have been used and when the wife and kid went to the hospital or ambulance.  DC was also suffering from covid at the time - so we have two concrete breaches of the rules by the very man that made millions obey them and being told by ministers daily to obey them. Every day we get a covid news brief but not once did they tell people about "gut instincts.!

 

DC talks about the only regret he has was not making a statement  earlier  - really! - He thought he could get away with it and told the press to f-off and two fingers at the public in in own words and waving of the hands.

If DC hand an ounce of deceny and really cared about the people and their suffering and BJ's shambolic handling of this, he'd f off right now - just shows how WEAK BJ is and what they think of the public.

 

DC said pm was very ill the day he left for the trip but the fact is PM was running the country and able to clap outside no. 10.

 

The UK had 4 weeks head start compared to Spain, Ital and Germany, - BJ threw that away by ignoring SAGE advice and listening to this little weasel. its in the press, you want a link.

Imo the Cummings thing has run its course its quickly getting fuck arse boring. What you or I think really doesn't make any difference in the scheme of things.

Cumming's gave a detailed statement. He faced the largely bias arrogant baying for blood media representatives. People will either like what he had to say on the matter. Think fair enough. Or think he should resign.

The fact is he's not going anywhere unless the PM says so. And the PM isn't due to fight a GE anytime soon.
