Yep! Such a lame excuse, too. He could have driven around much closer to home to ‘monitor‘ his eyesight. Besides, doesn’t his wife drive?

bored What an absolute clusterfuck this whole sorry saga has turned into.  Not helped by the fact that he’s an arrogant jerk with a supercilious sneering expression always on his face.

He can see that the flak is rising, it's undoing the good that this government has done so far and destroying the reputation of the PM and others.

If he had any integrity at all, even if he is unrepentant at breaking the rules and has no intention of apologising....he would resign.

Watch the above video. It is scum like that, the media, and activists, that make people like Cummings think OK fuck you! If I was him I wouldn't bother trying to explain myself to any of them ever again.

If I lived in the street I know me and others would be out there telling those scumbags to fuck off. Think of the potential virus spreading that gaggle of scumbags are creating in that street! May be some old vulnerable people walk down that street to the shops for food or to fetch medicine some days.

He said his eyes had been going blurry on and off. Not all the time. Why not see what you are like once you get outside and drive. Sounds exactly like the sort of thing a female would suggest, trying to drive for a bit make a short journey before making the long journey. Women tend to be more conscientious like that. A guy might have just gone OK I'm good lets get going back to London!

Boris said something in yesterday's podium gathering  (not sure what they call it! ) about how he wouldn't be speaking to Dominic  at all,  as he did not act in an illegal manner.

Gove said his actions were consistent with the lockdown regulations.

I know you have time for the Tories but this is their main failing and the reason people can't trust them.  They are dishonest and just hope for the best,  rather than treating the public with respect , being truthful and admitting their mistakes.

I consistently remember during the height of lockdown,  they said those with symptoms should not leave their homes under any circumstances. His wife was displaying severe symptoms,  she had the virus. So the lady was putting her own health at risk and risking everyone else's by taking an extensive road trip. Dominic too had  mild symptoms that got steadily worse.  He too had the virus. Road trips were disallowed for everybody!

So he did legally and ethically break the laws.  I do sympathise with him  as I assume he was not thinking clearly,  deeply concerned for his family.  But to assume he may  keep his job when others have lost so much  due to restrictions he insisted on but refused to adhere to himself is further insult to injury.

Even Conservative members are suggesting he should consider his position. He just has to go. The mindless mob attitude needs to go  also,  jeering and throwing things is intimidation and achieves nothing.

The press that are hounding him are falling over each other. They are shouting out about him breaking the rules whilst doing it themselves.....idiots.

That doesn't detract from Cummings being the biggest hypocrite of them all though.

I agree with what you say....just to add though I have never voted Tory in my life.

What I have said is I am glad it was they not Corbyn in control when this virus struck...and I do think on the whole they managed the country quite well.

Sad to see the goodwill is being eradicated now over one self entitled man who doesn't have the humility to realise he is ruining his so called friends standing with the general public.

Cumming's acted within the stipulations of the guidelines. He did what he was allowed to do. No one can get away from these facts. No 'law' broken. I've yet to see anyone prove there was.

A Tory MP has just done an interview on the news saying for weeks now she has had emails from constituents asking her what can they do in very specific situations, she guided them to the guidelines on GOV-UK and gave them advice herself. Do we really think that no one across this whole Country 67 million people hasn't done anything similar to Cumming's during lockdown? I bet they have. We simply wouldn't know however.

What do you mean Boris said he wasn't going to even speak to him. Give me exact words. But he spoke to Cumming's for 6hrs on Sunday. The press reported that.

The crux of it is. He broke no 'law'. He made a judgement based on his specific quickly developing situation. He acted within the guidelines. What is so difficult to understand with all this?

No.

John Wilson's letter to Greg Smith, Conservative MP for Buckingham - I expect many will feel exactly the same and suffered under the same tragic circumstances.

EY2GWV5WoAA4qsD?format=jpg&name=large

I'm not an angry person but reading this letter and the way  Cummings behaved today and possibly afterwards, IECovid   press briefing delayed as he was schooling Boris what to say - had made me more angry and if I did not live so far from London and we were not in lockdown, I'd go down to his house and give him a verbal of how he broke the law and sees the public as idiots.

Boris wasn't late he was always due at 7 today. Cummings was late. May be Boris was schooling him today.

Hopefully you'd social distance properly if you decide to visit his family house. What 'law' was broken? Links please. Show me exactly how he broke the 'law'.

Bollox. BJ was due at 5, then 6 then 7.

You are wasting your time with JP. DC clearly broke the law when he dropped his wife and kid off at the hospital miles away, When his child was disacharged the next day, he broke the law again as he went to pick them up as the law states, ' if you have symptoms, do NOT leave your home,' dial  111 for advice - he never did that.

The day he went out with wife and kid - if you have iffy sight, you don't take comand of a car weiging almost 2 tons and hurtle do the road at 70mph - EG, distance 30 miles to rive walk, bank, side roads lower speeds and motoway 70mph - so at least 70mph. To test your sight for driving simply read a car reg at 20 meters, he made it up as he went along as do the arse licker misters

All of them inc BJ and I voted Tory as telling us to f off and leave us alone.

Imagine the press did not mention it, they'd be lol louder.

DC when he went the 264 mile trip broke the law or at least the spirt of the law by fAILING to dial the NHS 111 service for advice and the fact is we are all told - DO LEAVE your home if you have symptoms, DAIL NHS 111 or 999 if it is an emergency

The bastards are taking the piss and I will hold my mp to account a tory.

Yes. Several different people have read out the actual rules and the stipulations that are mentioned within those rules. Did you listen to the video I posted days back? That vid had Jenny and Matt Hancock talking about childcare issue exceptions, back on March 24th.

Hancock should have played that video in today's briefing. Some of these frigging idiots in the media were even there on that day.

One more point about today's briefing. And the flouting of rules debate.

So Cumming's driving a car to place that has 2 or 3 separate buildings within it(for a fair reason imo) not meeting up with anybody else closely! That's going to make people flout the rules gather and congregate together!

What utter bollocks. If people are dumb enough to gather, congregate, without any thought for their own health or their family, so be it. Go ahead mix with people all you like. It's actually the media who are more likely to encourage people to flout rules if they keep talking about the flouting of rules, day in, day out. The way they have been taking their cameras in the last couple of weeks to Beaches for example isn't a good idea.

Why are the media seemingly never accountable for their actions? The public follow their lead as much if not more than Politicians. The media is one thing Trump is right about.
