JP, this is an emotive issue for all but you are inaccurate  in your recalling  about the lock down  restrictions at the height of the pandemic in London.

Many Conservative MPs are demanding that he resign and some have resigned themselves. That would not be the case if he had not broken the two most vital rules that were enforced upon everyone else . He went out when he had the virus. Just no. That's the game changer.

The PM was worried sick the pandemic would overwhelm the NHS and those with symptoms were not permitted to leave their home for any reason whatsoever. Cancer patients did not receive treatment and passed away so these rules could be adhered to. People did not say their last goodbye to their dying relatives so Cummings lock down rules could be respected and followed to the letter.

It's about principle. People gave up so much, their liberty , their livelihoods, some their lives. Cummings flouted the rules actively having the virus and made a road trip whilst others stoically sacrificed what they held dear to comply with his wishes.

That is the reason for the outrage,  not the nitpicking of the rules and was he just within the boundaries of regulation A etc. It's about his casual indifference and perceived disdain of the very vulnerable he promised to protect.

If you continue to make excuses for him it reaches a point that the problem lies in your perception of moral rights and wrongs not actually ones.

I'm not inaccurate regarding the lock down rules. Prove to me what he did was 'illegal'. Importantly the DMO spoke in public at the daily briefing on March 24th about the exceptions surrounding child care issues and ill parents. Why is that not good enough for you? I'm sure you've heard it. It covered the predicaments Cumming's found himself in just a few days later. The millions listening that day would also have heard what she said the stipulations clearly applied to us all. There is no one rule for them and different for us as some people like to claim.

I may well have made the same rapid judgements as Cumming's if I was in the exact same situation. You can question my morals all you want it makes no difference to me. I know my morals are in good standing. Your views on my morals don't matter.

Do you seriously think that there is no one in this Country out of 67 million people who went ahead and took the same or indeed similar decisions to Cumming's? Give me a break. I actually recall a caller on a radio talk show back around a week after the lockdown started. Who said they traveled with partner 400 mile round trip to pick up their mother-in-law. Because she had recently fractured her leg. These people decided to have her live with them for a while so they could look after her.

IF that mother-in-law was someone in authority that some people already had long running vendettas against. Then you know there would have been plenty of mob mentality outrage going on for all to see. Criticising aplenty would be coming out of their mouths. Such as she should have had carers and district nurses in. She should have sought help locally. Oh no she's been in HOSPITAL, she may have been asymptomatic with covid, she may have been in the incubation period before any symptoms come out. She may have stopped to use a toilet during the journey etc etc

And why are you claiming people who needed emergency immediate treatment for anything such as cancer couldn't get any treatment? Were the CMO and others lying when they've said all throughout this crisis that the NHS is still open for emergencies, and anything that can't be put on hold.

So you are saying he didn’t break lockdown rules (3) times?

You are wasting your time with JP. DC clearly broke the law when he dropped his wife and kid off at the hospital miles away, When his child was disacharged the next day, he broke the law again as he went to pick them up as the law states, ' if you have symptoms, do NOT leave your home,' dial  111 for advice - he never did that.

The day he went out with wife and kid - if you have iffy sight, you don't take comand of a car weiging almost 2 tons and hurtle do the road at 70mph - EG, distance 30 miles to rive walk, bank, side roads lower speeds and motoway 70mph - so at least 70mph. To test your sight for driving simply read a car reg at 20 meters, he made it up as he went along as do the arse licker misters

All of them inc BJ and I voted Tory as telling us to f off and leave us alone.

Imagine the press did not mention it, they'd be lol louder.

DC when he went the 264 mile trip broke the law or at least the spirt of the law by fAILING to dial the NHS 111 service for advice and the fact is we are all told - DO LEAVE your home if you have symptoms, DAIL NHS 111 or 999 if it is an emergency

The bastards are taking the piss and I will hold my mp to account a tory.

Quite. I'm always right there is no two ways about that.

On a serious note it's always a shame isn't it when someone just doesn't agree with your point of view. What can you do.

No.

John Wilson's letter to Greg Smith, Conservative MP for Buckingham - I expect many will feel exactly the same and suffered under the same tragic circumstances.

I'm not an angry person but reading this letter and the way  Cummings behaved today and possibly afterwards, IECovid   press briefing delayed as he was schooling Boris what to say - had made me more angry and if I did not live so far from London and we were not in lockdown, I'd go down to his house and give him a verbal of how he broke the law and sees the public as idiots.

Boris wasn't late he was always due at 7 today. Cummings was late. May be Boris was schooling him today.

Hopefully you'd social distance properly if you decide to visit his family house. What 'law' was broken? Links please. Show me exactly how he broke the 'law'.

Bollox. BJ was due at 5, then 6 then 7.

https://inews.co.uk/news/health/coronavirus-uk-speech-today-when-time-boris-johnson-matt-hancock-watch-live-2484382

Clearly lies. Cumming's was still facing the trial-by-media in the downing street garden until well after 5pm. So 5 being included is bullshit. Those media folk like Peston couldn't be in two places at once. Hopefully there isn't two of him. Do you know what time the media finished kangaroo court time with Cumming's? I know it was well after 5.

Maybe the clocks are broken in your house? Maybe your watch isn't functioning so well?

Bollox - are you playing thick? You clearly said that BJ was "always" due at 7pm today - he was not as per link and the DC lies were initially due at 3pm then 4pm, he started at 4-20. The so=called press briefing was initially due at 5, then 6 then 7. Only one lying here is you. BJ is fearful of that little scruffy  man and we all know why.

Again, today BJ banning about trace and track and people having to stay indoors 14 days and not to go out, contact NHS 111 or 999.

Cummings was half hour late. The kangaroo court session was due at 4. Cumming's arrived at half 4. He was tried by media for at least an hour, so a daily briefing at 5 pm at least. Was clearly impossible.

How could those media such as Peston etc be in two places at the same time? lol

I beg to differ.

For a second there I thought a murderer was being interrogated, especially when Beth from Sky News was going at go at him with much aggression.

You would, you have been banging your drum for Cummings for a long time. The man is a liar, a gaslighting narcissist and he needs to go. This person had brought the country to its knees. Job done. Don’t try to defend him to me, the people of this country have better and harder stories to tell about the hell they have been living through and that does not include a trip to a fucking bluebell wood, a piss in a lay-by and a fucking eyeball testing trip to a well known town.

A long time? This hasn't been going on weeks. All though it feels like it.

This is a man who made some  snap judgements when he was faced with a rapidly progressing situation. A man who just arranged and facilitated himself into a position where his 4 year old child could be properly looked after, if it came to that. I see no problem there. What he did was also within the guidelines. No one is going to change my assessment of this situation. As I suspect goes the same for you as well.

You don't get to tell me when I reply to someone. If you don't like me 'defending' him, don't even bother engaging me on this.

If you want the story to go away and more important things be spoken about tell the lefties and Labour activists out there just that. Alastair Campbell for one. Who incidentally after a massive Cumming's rant on Sky News has now been found out to have ACTUALLY flouted the rules. Not even a hint of special circumstances was involved in his case.
