The way the ministers/lackeys appear on tv to lie for DC makes me want to throw up. Where were these bastards when it came to the safety of those in care homes and PPE?

Millions obeyed the rules as the were told a million times STAY AT HOME if you have covid symptoms and if you need help, dail 111 or 999 if urgent - so millions of people are stupid and DC and co make it up as they go along.

The little man drove 30 miles up anthen sat by the river with his wife and kid on her b/day and then back - 60 miles - he could have driven to london rather than return. But, oh wait - how do you test your eyesight these dives, take a 60 mile round trip and put at risk your family and others on the road, in their vehicles and pavements.

These bastards all of them need to locked up. I have voted tory all of my life and never again, bastards, piss taking bastard.

A long time? This hasn't been going on weeks. All though it feels like it.

This is a man who made some  snap judgements when he was faced with a rapidly progressing situation. A man who just arranged and facilitated himself into a position where his 4 year old child could be properly looked after, if it came to that. I see no problem there. What he did was also within the guidelines. No one is going to change my assessment of this situation. As I suspect goes the same for you as well.

You don't get to tell me when I reply to someone. If you don't like me 'defending' him, don't even bother engaging me on this.

If you want the story to go away and more important things be spoken about tell the lefties and Labour activists out there just that. Alastair Campbell for one. Who incidentally after a massive Cumming's rant on Sky News has now been found out to have ACTUALLY flouted the rules. Not even a hint of special circumstances was involved in his case.

You really are clueless about the real pain and hardship people have had to endure.

You and Cummings.bdh

JP, you are entitled to your opinion just as everyone else is.

I dont agree with you on this, but many others do, Cummings behaviour has certainly split opinions.

The hypocrisy is the worst thing. Ok if someone has the opinion that Cumming's was completely in the wrong. Fair enough.

But all people in positions of authority should be spoken about and castigated on the main TV news channels in the same way. Cumming's isn't even an MP. I mentioned what one Labour MP did over on the main forum. Believe me there are 4 or 5 of them who definitely flouted rules during lockdown these people should have been named and talked about and castigated on the TV news, for a day or two. After all these people have constituents who may look up to them.

If the main TV news doesn't talk about them many people don't even know its happened. Many people only watch the main TV news and that's basically it. You have to watch and read news stories across more platforms than just main TV news to know about these stories.

Bollox. BJ was due at 5, then 6 then 7.

https://inews.co.uk/news/health/coronavirus-uk-speech-today-when-time-boris-johnson-matt-hancock-watch-live-2484382

Clearly lies. Cumming's was still facing the trial-by-media in the downing street garden until well after 5pm. So 5 being included is bullshit. Those media folk like Peston couldn't be in two places at once. Hopefully there isn't two of him. Do you know what time the media finished kangaroo court time with Cumming's? I know it was well after 5.

Maybe the clocks are broken in your house? Maybe your watch isn't functioning so well?

Bollox - are you playing thick? You clearly said that BJ was "always" due at 7pm today - he was not as per link and the DC lies were initially due at 3pm then 4pm, he started at 4-20. The so=called press briefing was initially due at 5, then 6 then 7. Only one lying here is you. BJ is fearful of that little scruffy  man and we all know why.

Again, today BJ banning about trace and track and people having to stay indoors 14 days and not to go out, contact NHS 111 or 999.

https://www.itv.com/news/2020-04-02/stay-at-home-or-people-will-die-government-launches-new-coronavirus-ad-blitz/

Cummings was half hour late. The kangaroo court session was due at 4. Cumming's arrived at half 4. He was tried by media for at least an hour, so a daily briefing at 5 pm at least. Was clearly impossible.

How could those media such as Peston etc be in two places at the same time? lol

Spot on, BG,  JD, Syl, Twizzler and several others

This is all his own doing, so "don't shoot the messenger".

Did he cook up an elaborate backstory to cover his tracks? It bears no resemblance to his wife's version!

I guess no one will ever know how much of his story is true - if any.

If what is being reported is true then his behaviour has been absolutely disgusting and shows a breathtaking contempt for the general public.

Apparently he broke the Lockdown three times (the story is changing very fast).

A lot of top Tories are secretly furious as well, so it's not just a party politics matter either.

There are thousands upon thousands of people in this country who could not be with their loved ones when they passed or even attend their funerals.

Openly furious, you mean. His own party MP's have spoken out publicly against him.

I don't think its a name names competition is it. Let's name chaotic musing members who disagree with JPs point of view on this one. lol

I could direct you to copious places where there are plenty of names who agree with my assessment of events. But that would be churlish. Believe me there are plenty of people who believe this whole thing has been blown well out of proportion!!

My wife was very worried, particularly given my eyesight seemed to have been affected by the disease. She didn't want to risk a nearly 300-mile drive with our child, given how ill I had been. We agreed that we should go for a short drive to see if I could drive safely. We drove for roughly half an hour and ended up on the outskirts of Barnard Castle town. We did not visit the castle. We did not walk around the town. We parked by a river. My wife and I discussed the situation. We agreed that I could drive safely, we should turn around, go home. I felt a bit sick. We walked about 10 to 15 metres from the car to the river bank nearby. We sat there for about 15 minutes. We had no interactions with anybody. I felt better. We returned the car.

That's the 'eye' part in his exact words.

Seems to me it looks like the truth. A good lie there would have been to say that they were just taking their permitted daily exercise in a public space.

His Wife wrote an article where she did not mention what they did. Probably knew how over-the-top things would become if she mentioned the situation in her article. How right she was.

And they are backing off now.

Why the list of names? No need for that. Your quoting of BGs post alone without the namechecks should have been enough. Your personal point of view was clear without the need for the list of names.

Night.

I would also like to know what people's views are on the lockdown transgressions of, Tahir Ali, Stephen Kinnock, Kevan Jones, and The Labour Welsh Health Secretary. I guess most people however do not know about these. Because the BBC, Sky News, and Channel 4 didn't cover those stories. These people obviously have constituents to set an example for.
