Dear Maddog, as the sole representative of the USA here, what are your views of the police in the USA?   As someone from Britain who tends to get their information from the

BBC, I am led to believe that the US Police Force is a unitary body that is racist against blacks and is part of 400 years of US oppression of black people.   There are demands for

change in the UK for change in the US, with protests up and down the country from small villages to large cities like Manchester and London.

It's one more example of race not being a driving factor. Bad cops generally dont discriminate. Everyone is targeted equally.

We dont have a national police force. We have thousands of overlapping forces at the state and local level.

Many of the police here need some serious retraining and thinning of the herd.  But they are by and large not racist. They abuse their power pretty equally.

Blacks are overrepresented in police killings but that's down to a myriad of factors beyond the control of the police.  They are overrepresented as murder victims, perpetrators, crime victims, poverty, obesity, diabetes, early death, fatherless families and government assistance.

Any group that has disproportionate interactions with the police will have more negative outcomes.

I see people blaming Trump all the time for what the governors and mayors are in charge of.

He has the power of the pulpit though. He should have used it better. He gets way too happy seeing his political enemies squirm. It's beneath the office and creates greater division. Then a couple of sparks hit and boom.

Good God, I knew the Deep South and lynchings were brutal but the sheer savagery of some of the horror stories in this National Geographic article just chills the blood. :(

The Buffalo police department has suspended two officers over that and now 57 other Buffalo police officers have resigned in solidarity with them.

A policewoman was taken to hospital and horses attacked yesterday.

Not to mention the irresponsible behaviour will no doubt see a sharp rise in the number of Coronavirus cases.

I hope they put guards at Carlisle and stop folk coming into Scotland.

You just despair, don't you? Once you let people get away with the small things, it snowballs into larger, more sinister stuff. A bit like when psychopaths start off their cruel, murderous careers by pulling the legs off spiders.

David Gilmour’s son Charlie served over a years prison time for trying to rip the flag off the Cenotaph in the London riots, the same thing should be doled out to this arsehole.

Anthony Joshua has had a pop at folk after he was criticized for saying in his BLM speech that folk should stop spending in "Their" shops and invest in black businesses instead.

That's rather racist.

The murder of George Floyd had let loose an excuse for tidal wave of extremism.
If the police who arrested him were getting away with this I could understand the rage, but they are not, they are rightly being held to account.

I would bet a good % of the people who are joining in these demo's that are becoming increasingly violent are the sort who perpetrated football violence in the guise of being football fans a few years ago....in other words, yobs looking for trouble.

Any old excuse. To rant and rave. Cause a fight. The poor, poor, me attitude is sickening.

Here's a word you don't hear much now. Dipshits!

The people you are seeing on the streets, those in reality who are primarily interested in ranting and raving and fighting against the establishment.

Dipshits of the highest order!

Fuckwits is a good word to describe them as well.

I am sick of woke virtue signalling pricks expecting me to apologise for what the richest people in the country did centuries ago, whilst the vast majority of us lived in disease ridden and appalling squalor either working for a pittance or starving to death.

Oh and the scumbag who tried to desecrate the cenotaph - can you imagine someone like that spineless twat having to go off and fight a war to preserve our freedom like millions did in the past?

Because I can't.
