Well I for one won’t be going on public transport.
But I think it’s a bit late, everyone should have been wearing masks at the beginning
but scientists said they made no difference. Politicians have been winging it, you don’t know who to listen too.
If scientists can’t get it right then there is know hope.
Politicians now are only interested in get the country back to normal, but
there are certain areas of the country that are over 1 in the R ratings.
They lifted the lockdown way too soon, they should of left it till the ratio for all
towns were better than they are now.
If the Scientists and other experts don't know definitive answers. That's just how it is. No ones fault as such. We don't know the answers to everything. If only!
There are going to be local/hotspot lockdowns I suspect. The overall R when all studies are taken into account, is still 0.7 to 0.9 for the UK.
That is the last figures that I read. Unless it's changed today.
And after all of this time the economy does have to be seriously thought about whether people may like that or not. We can't gt away from that.
The figures in the south west and the north west are over 1 JP.
Ok. But according to which study? What method is being used in the study that claims its over 1?
It more complicated than just saying its over 1.
I'm trying to catch up now. lol Reading various sources. I'll reply here again later.
I live here in the north west JP, I am not making stuff up.
You get back to me when you get all your facts. Even where Syl lives the R has gone up !
It's not about that. I read many different sources.
Even for where I live. I do the same. I don't just rely only on what local news says.
Obviously all these people who are demonstrating here and rioting (and doing a bit of self help looting whilst they are at it) elsewhere believe that the "cause" is far more important than the lives of their friends, families and neighbours.
George Floyd's family don't want this, his brother has appealed for peace in America, the government here have appealed to people not to gather in crowds amid the pandemic, if anyone truly felt disgust at the way that man was murdered they would NOT be breaking the law now and putting countless others in danger.

What has this to do with us anyway?
It's just jumping on the bandwagon, our police are nothing like America - they are not armed for a start.
I saw some virtue signalling white female Woke on the news earlier actually say the 'cause' is far more important than spreading or dying of COVID-19 - it does my fucking head in.

I think it's good that the UK shows solidarity with whatever injustice is happening elsewhere, but now is not the time to have peaceful or otherwise shoulder to shoulder protests.
The four cops will face justice, they have not gotten away with it, and if it happens again and is caught on camera, the next 4 will face justice too.
Sad though that in the past the very same knee in neck practice by US cops has caused the death of white people too... that went unnoticed....even though on one video the cops were actually laughing whilst the white guy lay dead in the street.

Yeah but all lives don't matter - apparently.
