Mine is a poppy in my garden. I planted it last year, and this pic was taken last year. It had just one flower on it which lasted for weeks, I was so proud of it I took the pic.
This year it's grown to about 3 feet high, has had about 10 huge poppies, they only last about 2 weeks each, but they look very bright.

My favourite animal - the ultimate modern expression of power, intelligence and beauty in Lamniform evolution.
It's jaws. :surprise:
Funnily enough in the past I think it's probable that before overfishing the White shark could reach around 8 metres or so ('Bruce' the models of Jaws were 7.3) although in the last 40 years 7+ metres appears to be the limit.
However a few credible witnesses have seen behemoths of around 8 metres (such as the famously vast 'Submarine' of False Bay, South Africa which the noted shark expert Craig Ferreira saw four times in the '70's) although they have not been scientifically measured - for which in the past they would have to have been killed so I am rather glad.
Two examples caught in the Bosporus in the '20's and '50's were said to be 8 metres in length (although unconfirmed) and the stated weight of 4500 kg for the latter is actually rather close to what such a shark would mass.

I change mine a lot, maybe something in the news, somewhere I have been, or just a photo. I remember Fen had the same avi for years, in fact I think she still has it on her own forum, it's of Italian film star Claudia Cardinale, imo one of the most beautiful stars of all time.

If the other part of the forum is as busy as claimed. Why the need to start a fickle thread like this in the whine section?

It is after all, for people to whine in.
So why the need to read and respond? Just sod off back to the whingy, whiney threads you prefer so much.
Mine is obviously a native indian, they don't like being called Americans.
I love their culture. Very spiritual. Their land was snatched away, given to immigrants who trampled all over their sacred grounds, the Blackhills in Dakota. The reservations are like third world homes. The ground is terrible, can't grow on it, which is why the Indians were given these reservations, as no good to anyone else.I
Many turned to drink, drugs, and that has become their way of life. More so in Oklahoma.
Where are the marches for these brave and proud people who are forgotten and just existing on land around the states? Where are the cries Indian lives matter?
I'm so sad for them, does anyone care?

Why bother reading here then?

Why not go on a forum where trolling, baiting, bullying and mass attacks are the norm?
You know, like the Comatose Canines.

It's good that you remind people of their suffering Mags, I'm sure many people do care.
I know, but they do say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and some people pay fortunes for what others see as rubbish.
I think that much of modern art is the ultimate example of The Emperor's New Clothes Syl.
Talentless twats producing garbage which is then rhapsodized over by pretentious upper and middle class 'critics' who regard us proles as far too thick to appreciate it.
For example apparently this 'masterpiece' is worth more than £20 million and cost the British tax payer over £200,000 to repair after someone accidentally slipped and put their hands onto it.
How many operations or school text books would that have financed?
FFS.
