Ultimately I get sick of people slagging off and putting the UK down. This Country is without doubt one of the fairest and just, actually too fair and soft at times, places on the planet.

Well yes, people never let the facts get in the way of their hatred of white people (who are apparently all evil and racist).

This is perhaps the most inclusive and tolerant country in the world and had endless positive discrimination schemes (which against anyone but Caucasian would be castigated as racist) but that is never mentioned.

Of course it's not.

The BBC casting is often so ludicrous now it is not even funny - for example.

Achilles, the sulking, invincible, demi-god teenager with boundless golden locks was now played by a bald, middle-aged black bloke (very well to be fair given the script) in 'Troy'.

Asian men target Muslim Asian children as well as white children. But it is not as well publicised as Muslim girls very rarely come forward due to the abuser usually being a family member. The statistics for sexual child abuse is that white males commit roughly 85% of the crime. The repulsive abhorrent act is rarely race motivated. These men are deviants, compelled to act out sexual violence against children and overall race is not usually a factor. Sexual acts against children are primarily a sex crime. Possibly the worthy topic needs it's own thread.

The list posted above of black people is only a tiny percentage of people slain for their skin colour , one was a child, which is thankfully being supported hugely on Twitter. It highlights with bitterly heartbreaking clarity how black people endure terrible abuse due to the colour of their skin.

These poor men and women were killed for simply going to the shops or birdwatching, attending parties, things white people would never fear doing. But sadly this is the reality of life for black people. Racism in the police force is rife especially in America and has been covered up for way to long. When racism takes the form of murder and people are being slaughtered for the colour of their skin by those who are meant to protect them and ensure their safety no one can argue that racism is completely out of control.

I do understand why people may dislike the term White Privellege, but if anyone here honestly fears that going to the shops, Cashing a Cheque or reading a book in their car will result in their death I would be most surprised. The loathing of black people is also far more prevalent in America and the police brutality totally unchecked.

Admitting White Privellege exists is the same as saying racism exists and no one is denying that. The problem is where to go from here.

Michelle Obama who admitted she has experienced racism many times says all she feels she can do to halt the hatred white people must feel is to carry on as normal. To continue being a good mother, doing the chores etc so white people can see there is nothing to fear. I found that quite moving. Skin colour is just that, a colour. How can anybody hate or fear a colour enough to kill someone for it.

Constructive ideas on how to deal with violent racists is what is needed now. Both here and in the US. Education is key. Maybe teaching children fairly early on how looking different has no bearing on a person being 'good ' or 'bad '. But if that child goes home to hear racist rhetoric all the good work will be undone, I admit I have no answers. Does anyone have any ideas how such ingrained needless prejudices can be changed?

Putting our heads in the sand is not working, there has to be a better way. Hopefully white people will care enough to find one rather than pursuing their own agenda's or wasting time being affronted. Because black people deserve a dialogue on the discrimination and death they may face, on the terrifying fear they feel everyday.

Black people don't "want" people to take the knee for them! White people are choosing to do it, because black people are still being murdered due to bigotry. Who puts pride before wanting murder to stop?

What are your thoughts on all the deaths of black people caused by racism, not just Syl but JD , Digger. You seem to turn to other examples when there is outrage everywhere about the cold blooded murder of black people in this day and age. Don't you think it's terrible that men and women merely walking home from shops or reading in their car have been killed just because of their skin colour?

White people have admitted this would never happen to them and they don't fear doing these everyday things as black people do. So they have admitted they are lucky to be white and have White Privellege. Why is that ridiculous?

Furthermore, why is taking the knee ridiculous?? All colours creeds and genders are doing it.

The sad thing about all this misplaced anger is the statistics show the majority of paedophiles are white JD, even including the gangs of Muslim men who prey on white and Asian girls doesn't change that. Of course it's a different thing, child abuse is not always a racist act. Racism always is.
There may be a preferred colour and gender for an abuser but this is by no means true on every occasion -unless one intends to focus solely on the Muslim sex gangs to show white girl children also suffer due to racist oppression. It's a unique defence and imo not a suitable one, child abuse which happens to children of all creeds and colours should be fought against with all one's might but under the correct and tragic umbrella of child abuse so children of ALL colours ages and genders can be included and hence protected.
Regarding your last statement , white people are responsible for slavery so yes they are responsible for racism because they created a law that declared they owned people based on skin colour. Black men were their property , bought and sold, victimised and often killed. And as unsavoury a notion as it is black children were white mens to abuse. I would have preferred to keep children out of an already emotive issue of race, but since it has been introduced, morally sound or not, there lies the unsavoury truth.

All I would say is that when the bigots are the police and murdering black people almost on a whim something needs to be done and rather urgently. The racism in America is out of control by quite some margin as black people are not safe and they know they cannot trust the police to help them. The fear must be eroding their liberty.

It's very noble for white people to show unconditional support and admit white privelege exists but it doesn't help the black people being abused, maybe even killed even as we speak in America primarily but also in impoverished areas of the capital and other large cities in the UK.

How can we move forward in practical terms and help people?

Hate has no limit. You are right, but it shouldn’t be covered up defended as you are all doing here.

JP is not covering it up, nor are other members. In fairness some have been quite brave in revealing their true stance on such an emotive issue.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. It would be rather tedious if everyone was a in clique that expressed the same views.
