Not a very subtle attempt at Divide and Rule.

You're speaking as though JD never gets it in the neck from admin. That's not true.

Imo Syl is very fair and balanced. Next time when a different discussion occurs JD could just as easily be the one getting it in the neck. lol

Disclaimer: To clarify Digger is very fair and balanced also. lol

So the authorities let the Leicester sweatshops scandal go on for far too long due to fears of being accused of 'racism' - leaving the victims (ironically mainly vulnerable, ethnic minority females) to rot whilst the 'cultural sensitivities' of the perpetrators were regarded as far more important.

It seems absolutely nothing has been learned from Rotherham et al.

People can look it up for themselves as there are far too many links to post.

Does BLM only if it is a white person/cop committing the crime?

The silence is deafening and why have all the wokes here suddenly been struck dumb on the issue?

Sickening hypocrisy.

The police in these US cities have actually been criticised for not tackling violent criminals due to the demonstrations for fear of being accused of racism - and now some are saying they were racist for not tackling the violent black/ethnic gang members and protecting the community more.

They just can't fucking win can they?bored

JD you are so off point, what you call "sickening hypocrisy "is not knowing what to say to what appears to be racist apologist rhetoric.

You haven't mentioned the dashboard cameras showing police literally ripping black people from their cars for no reason in the UK? You have a very selective memory that picks out rare instances whereas racism goes on unabated all the time.

Donald Trump agrees with you although. You should listen to his views more, you would have a lot of time for them.

As for the tiresome "woke" stereotyping you seem to be so fond of,  you are talking about individual people. People who loathe racism don't all think and feel the same things. You convince yourselves they are hypocrites because it's easier for you to maintain a very entitled tunnel vision opinion.

You cannot speak for what a black man has gone through, you have not and never will walk a mile in his shoes. You don't know what it is like you be told to return to the jungle like an animal.

What is wrong with people wanting to atone for the horrors of the past, wrongs so awful they are beyond depravity, people want to say sorry JD. They weren't there but they want to show support and empathy and no one should say a kindness is wrong.

If you maintain your stance you will be left alone, so leave those who choose to take the knee alone too.

So you believe the police all of a sudden?

There was nothing in the car JD! Why you published this I have no idea, it helps you not one iota. They were stopped for being black,  in fact the gentleman has been stopped how many times? Ten.

He has been found with something illegal on how many of there stops?  None.

But you believe the police..of course why not, they have been right so often in this case haven't they?  You are making excuses for racist actions here and that is transparently true.

If a white bloke had been stopped by police 10 times  for no evident reason and they had found nothing illegal all 10 times you would accuse those police of harassment. And you would be right.

But it's a black bloke..so he is "milking the situation".  Sure he is...! Very poor form JD, didn't see this coming.

I blame every single German ever born since Hitler was around for countless deaths, torture, and hardship.

They should forever be apologising to me and all of us here in the UK in all manner of ways and the people of other Countries also.

You see how silly and stupid and ridiculous the above all sounds!

That case is being thoroughly investigated by all manner of people. Some independent. Let's see what happens.

Do you know anything about the area the athletes were in? The crime issues in that particular area? Are there more black people than white living in that particular area?

All legitimate questions. Let's not completely castigate the Police involved or just automatically completely believe every single thing the athletes say. Until all investigations are complete.

Trump simply disgusts me - what he has done is genocide by another name as the cases are exponentially soaring again in the US.

So the government are now encouraging people to get back to work rather than working from home, also encouraging the use of public transport, more places are being allowed to open....and in the same news Boris has put aside Three billion £££ to cope with a possible/probable 2nd wave of Coronavirus come winter , which if/when it happens has been predicted to kill more than three times the already dead.

Heard it a bit ago. I thought that it was the right way to go for workplaces. The Bosses should obviously know their individual workplaces and staff better than any one in Government. Government were stating if guidelines are stringently followed Bosses can bring people back if that's what works best for them.

Some places clearly thrive on social contact and face to face activity. Others may be just as productive as ever, may be even more so, with staff continuing to work from home.

I agree that if people can work safely from the workplace it's time to get everyone back to a more normal way of life.
I would strongly advice anyone I know who doesn't have to use public transport, including planes, to avoid them right now.

It makes sense to have money put aside for when the predicted by many second wave comes....I just thought it was bad timing to release that info in the same bulletin as the further easing of the lockdown.

All a fine balance and conditional.

He said hope for the best plan for the worst.

Some people may say we need more than hope. We need action. Clearly there is also action.

But guess what everyone, a lot of this is just hope and a bit of luck. This virus is clearly a beast, often very sporadic and random.

The people in Rochdale have now been told to start wearing masks when out in public places from now....makes sense.
They are the second highest area (though a long way behind Leicester) in the country now.
Rochdale like Leicester is another town with a high % of Asians.
