I had quite a crush on Gordon Macrae when I was about 10.....probably looking for a father figure, because an older fatter actor called Aldo Ray took my fancy too.

I have never seen that film JD, I LOVE Ray Winstone ...and that song was the best one Tont Christie ever recorded.
A brilliant (at times very dark) comedy gangster film from the writers of Operation Good Guys (a 'documentary' comedy well before The Office about a load of useless coppers), almost all the great cast of British actors call each other by their real names well worth a watch and the full movie is on Youtube.

Fun fact - William Skully Q.G.M (and SAS) the author of 'Once a Pilgrim' is the hardnut in both PGG and LHAO and the book he wrote was of how he alone protected a hotel full of civilians.
Incredible.
In May 1997, in Freetown, Sierra Leone, ex-SAS soldier Will Scully and hundreds of others were caught up in a military coup, their hotel refuge under fire. Alone on the roof against 200 attacking rebels, Scully had the lives of 1100 people in his hands.
