The gorgeous spring has given way to the most miserable, typically British summer that has seen even more rain than usual, damp cool days, and even when we are promised a bit of sun it seldom materialises.
Today we were promised (this is Manchester) 21c temps with lot's of sun....it's watery sun and cloud, and after planning an outside meal I have decided to not bother, cos after sitting out for 1/2 an hour this afternoon I can feel hypothermia settling in.

The wind is chilling Syl. I don’t understand this weather.
Usually the heating goes off in April and stays off till October.
Not this year, we have had the heating on some days in June and July. What the heck??
I am beginning to think my little corner of the world is permanently under a bloody black cloud.....till evening then miraculously the sun breaks through for a couple of hours.
I stand by what I said...this is a miserable bloody summer.
The sun came out, I got the comfy patio cushions out, found the sun cream (not used since May) dashed upstairs to put a skimpy top on, by the time I got down again it was spitting.

Too late, it was quickly replaced by a woolly jumper.
