I despise rain and dont have to deal with it like y'all do.  

 It makes us hardy, and some say it's good for the skin, and it's true that many British women do have good complexions without the need to plaster on makeup ... so every cloud. (no pun intended)

Just nipped to my local shop with a mask on. Not one person in there wearing one! I give up.

 Bloody strange. Plenty seem to be wearing them here.

Usual story I think on this one. Like with pretty much everything else. Stark differences throughout different parts of the Country. Who knows not why. Probably many reasons though.
