Dave Bacon left his wife for a FM called Autumn. They were on Ben's forum called the big top or something like that. things were great on there but Dave wanted to have more input and Ben made Goonst a mod without asking Dave and Autumn and they decided to destroy Ben's form and invited really unsuitable people to join. Trop and his cronies who did their stuff of dividing people Dave and Autumn in the meantime made another forum and secretly invite certain members to join and in the end, Ben closed the forum

Stoo and his admin want to change the place but don't know what to, so it's going nowhere fast until they make their minds up. Anyone notice how admin have all sprung into life this morning, posting like it's going out of fashion? Nice effort but just a bit transparent.

I would think it's hard to change a forum from one thing to another...it's the posters who make the forum what it is, so you would have to change the posters.

Most smallish forums are quiet now, Dogs and Micky's forums were busy once, but people move on, posters divide and go their separate ways, and apart from the one or two diehard trolls, people have better things to do than spend hours bickering with online bores.

That's so true. It is the posters that make a forum. All the good characters on Dogs either left because the place got really nasty or got banned. And if you have admin allowing certain stuff then who the hell wants to stay there. It happened on BF and it happened here. If you don't allow freedom of speech, or ban people because they call you and your forum names, then don't run a bloody forum. It's not about being God it's about nurturing debate, supporting your members while not putting up with too much shit and bad behaviour. It's a fine balancing act. And it doesn't always work.
