Squeamish About... and Mandy were good fun (both on I-Player), Mortimer & Whitehouse Gone Fishing is as relaxing as ever and Wentworth still has it, can't wait for Joan to remember who she truly is and lay waste to her enemies. lol

I watched The Legend of Hell House the other day, a cracking little classic with some real atmosphere, good writing, plot and acting always means far more than fancy special effects.

I used to love that show. Not sure if it'll be any good this time around. I notice Vernon isn't doing it. Since he was a naughty boy Tess has kept him under lock and key. Never really been seen since. lol

Unless they have changed the format I imagine Family Fortunes would be a bit outdated nowadays.

I like Tess, her and Claudia Winkleman make a likeable pair on  Strictly.....I never found him that appealing tbh.

Vernon wasn't as good on FF as Les Dennis and Bob Monkhouse. Max Byrgraves was hilarious on it not necessarily in a good way. :D

I've seen all of those. Either when it was on, or repeats on TV at a later date. Not necessarily all episodes ever I'm not that much of a fan lol

Yeah it may come across outdated now. I've just recalled its a bloody Chef doing the new ones, Gino D'Acampo. lol

Oh and I didn't realise this, Vernon only ever done a celebrity version. Never did a civilian version. The others did.

A lot of quiz's have gone the celeb route. In the main I'd prefer quiz's just stick to members of the general public.

 I love Wentworth.

I'd go as far to say it's the best Australian produced show ever. Mind you not too much great stuff has gone before. :D

It's brilliant - best prison drama since Oz.

Aww, Max Bygraves was my mums favourite.

When I was about 18 I took her to see him at a local cabaret club....he sang a song specially for her, she loved it.

I just watched the documentary about Nilson.

I wish his childhood had been investigated with greater depth. His mother was interviewed after he was found guilty but she didn't say anything to explain how he could have turned so evil, just that the man who had killed so many wasn't the son she knew.

Listening to the families of some of the men he murdered so gruesomly was sad.
The brother and sister of one of his victims said the men had been portrayed in the press as gay, homeless, wasters who wouldn't be missed, but they loved their brother, he was a good man, much loved and still missed.

He is excellent, he seems to have morphed into Nilson....a great performance.

I think he'll win a BAFTA for it.

Got them all recorded so I can watch them together, as far as the article goes people in general seem to get thicker and thicker as time goes on, how on earth does anyone not know David is a Scottish actor?

Mind you most of the planet still believes in Sky Fairies (especially the US) no wonder the world is utterly fucked.

There's also a documentary about Dennis Nilsen on Thursday, so watch it as well.

I think some people have only seen David Tennant in Doctor Who and must have thought the English accent he had in itwas real.

Got it on timer Vicks, have you read 'Killing For Company'?

It's a superb book, a real classic.

I did, managed to buy a copy years ago in a charity shop.

The original it was, someone was flogging it on Amazon for 72 pounds a couple of days ago.

I should sell my copy.

Now if you decide to watch a programme about a serial killer, you know it's not going to be pleasant viewing and just incase you happen to be a bit slow, ITV had warnings before 'DES' each night before it started.

However...

Several Snowflakes have complained to Ofcom they have been left 'Disturbed' by watching the programme.

Yeah I have the original hardback.

I had a prehistoric life book once from the 1860's in mint condition (got it in a library sale for 50p) but chucked it when I was a teenager - worth tens of thousands now.
