911_NeverForget.jpg

Nineteen years ago today since 2,977 were murdered in the horrendous attacks in America.

9/11 is now known as 'Patriot Day' in America and various events will be held to remember those who were killed in the Atrocity.

I had been out at my swimming lessons that day and was getting dropped off afterwards in the town centre to go shopping and just as i was getting out the car, there was an announcement on Radio Clyde that said 'We'll be crossing over to the newsroom for the latest news from America in a minute'

I got out the car without hearing the news and i thought President Bush had been assassinated, then i got home and my dad was watching the news on the television.

I was a big wrestling fan back then and this was the first show since the attacks.

Ring Announcer Lillian Garcia sang 'The Star Spangled Banner'

Very powerful performance.

I was driving kids to school when news reports started coming in. When the second plane hit , we all knew this was some serious shit. I know I made it to the office that day, but I don't know when.

I was on holiday in Skiathos, the news didn't filter through till hours later.

It's one of those occasions where everyone remembers where they were and what they were doing when the news broke.

 Good video JP.

I started watching it about 2000.

I can still remember making myself hoarse at Backlash that year, when the 'Texas Rattlesnake's' music sounded around the arena and Stone Cold walk towards the ring as The Rock was getting duffed up by The McMahon/Hensley regime and Stone Cold hit them all with a chair and The Rock won.

Marvelous it was!!

😎

I was on my way to visit my Grandad (RIP), someone in the paper shop said one of the towers was gone, I rushed there and we both watched the second fall together.

Seems like yesterday.
