There will be blood and yet that is what he wants - all so his reality show life of as a President can continue.

Oh and I cannot understand why so many prominent Rethuglicans are so scared mortally very of him (all he needs is a good right hand to the jaw in private) - or does he really have the power to execute them by Putin's hand?

Interesting or are they just cowards, I suspect they are.

The courts are shutting down every challenge.  No one is going to stop him from his legal challenges.  They are about over. States are certifying their votes and the Electoral College will elect Biden on Dec 14.

What wouldn't surprise me would be for Trump to go to Florida for Christmas and never come back.

I do think Republicans will have to tell him he's done at some point. Right now they are letting him do his thing, hoping it weakens  Biden.  At some point, it will weaken them.

Let keep some historical context.  The 2000 election had not been called by this point either.

My take? His insane ego aside, I think this massive sulk & non-concession tantrum is mostly a ploy to buy as much time as possible to suppress/bury/shred evidence.

I also think the stony silence from the majority of his GOP handlers is largely down to not wanting to rock the boat prior to the Georgia runoffs. *Everything* hinges on Georgia right now & they need to keep him compliant until then.

Yeah, Georgia is a big deal.  I still think he's getting to the point where he will need to be jettisoned by the party pretty soon.  They couldnt do it right away. They needed to let the legal challenges go forward and let the courts shut him down.

My guess is he's told its over right after the electoral college votes and makes it official.

 December 14.

We still have states that haven't certified their votes too.

The system is set up for challenges if necessary. Trumps are baseless at this point, but his team can still engage them for awhile. But it's all coming to an end pretty soon.

Hopefully his followers get over it soon too.  They are embarrassing themselves.

Thanks MD - so he will be out long before Jan 20th thank God.

I notice Trump skipped the G20 Pandemic//Climate Summit to play golf as the cases rise exponentially in the US - the man really has no shame.

Oh God no!

So that's two more months of relentless posturing, bullying, conspiracy theories, lies and sulking.

Unless he’s also angling for a ’blanket’ non-prosecution deal for himself & his spawn, so that neither Federal *nor* State indictments can be chucked at him as soon as his arse is out the door.

Far-fetched?

There has been talk of Biden offering them a blanket pardon in exchange for him getting with the program and conceding. It wouldn't apply to the state level, but I think Trump isn't as worried about the state of NY.

Regardless of Trumps posturing though, the Republicans will have bail on him and work towards the future. He is barely the present and quickly becoming the past.

It's just that some of his supporters are just very determined. They are like 911 truthers.  I dont know if they will ever accept the truth.  If someone says the voting machines came from Venezuela, they believe it.

People don't seem to care that millions believe in his baseless bullshit either.

He lost.

Full stop.

But now he is sowing the seeds of division which will tear America apart for years to come all because he is like a toddler throwing his toys out of the pram because he was defeated.

He knows the damage he is doing to the US and also knows he lost despite what he says in public, he gets pleasure out of causing destruction, misery and pain.

That's why he plays golf whilst the pandemic rages ever worse.

He is a psychopath pure and simple.

Dont worry, the seeds were already there.  Look at out riots and protests from last summer.

And really, what would you have him do at this point in regards to the pandemic? Go to a meeting?

What would that accomplish?

A peaceful transition of power so that Biden can get to work with Fauci and his team would be a start and the good Dr has said the same many times recently.

But nothing can be done until Trump concedes and we all know he won't until he is dragged kicking and screaming out of the White House.

The bloke has no dignity.

What will Biden do with Fauci?

States are handling closures and guidelines.

Pfizer is working with the CDC and the FDA. They are given every green light possible at this point.

Congress isn't in session so no laws can be passed.

Dude, you really are obsessed with Trump and I'm not the only person to notice it.  It's weird for someone from another country.

I'm not worried about him, half as much as you are and I live here.

My governor, mayor and county judge are the folks that are in charge of responding to Covid, not Trump. Like Biden all he can do is talk shit.  I guess that's what some people like?

It depends which news channels you watch, BBC and ITV dont dwell on him, especially since the election results came in.
The newspapers both online and off write about more important things than Trump and his ego.
If you actively look for news about him obviously you will find it.

I dont turn on the TV much. I read a lot what's going on because I want to keep informed. Its not being informed or even interested in him that matters. It's getting so worked up about him that's odd.

I guess I'm more analytical towards politics and far less emotional.

I have lost count how many times I have said to John each state is down to its governer, mayor and so on, nothing to do with Trump. I have also said about the violence being in democratic states  ( a future to look forward too?)  nothing Trump could do except bring in the gaurd and that was something he didnt want to do.

Can you image the outrage in the media if he had got the military involved? I can hear cries of dictator all over the world and especially loud on one forum from one person.bored

The point we are now at is millions believe the election was stolen from Trump and millions of others believe something dodgy went on but don't care as long as Trump is gone.  I shall repeat that. they don't care about fraud as long as it's in their own favour.

Trump cannot do anything right. I'm now reading Trump played golf rather than do the speech at G20. just pure lies. but those who hate him won't bother looking any deeper.  If people took the time to look deeper than corrupted media they will find that Trump is the hardest working president we have ever had.

I feel we are in the edge of something huge, a turning point in history.

I like to read around, mostly online, see what's being said. read different opinions (or facts as some like to call them)

I do think though, if you are fixated on anything you will find it everywhere.

Just to digress, but I was once going out with a lad who had a Volvo sports car, the same one TV's The Saint used to drive. They were pretty rare round here, but when we finished and I was a bit broken hearted for a while, I used to see that make of car everywhere. lol
