How on earth is Joe as 'extreme' as Trump? scratch

His spoke with both calm authority and dignify tonight.

Contrast that with the bastard stoking the flames of violence even after everything that has happened.

I know you are a conservative JP but the difference between Biden and that ludicrous, orange psychopath is like light and day.

Russia and China will be absolutely delighted and Putin will be downing vodka right now laughing his head off.

The Republicans will take decades to recover from Trump and they bloody deserve it because so many went along with the scumbag.

Edit.

The person shot there has now died.

I'm all the good parts of a "conservative". You don't have to embody everything every part of what a specific "label" is supposed to stand for.

Going by what I've read he was generally a moderate. Or at least portraying to be one. And then after winning nomination he's showed signs of shifting more and more to the left.

But the left in America is like middle ground/conservative here.

I agree about labels being too simplistic, I am generally left but not in certain areas.

Ok I'll take your word for it I'm the first to admit I'm not greatly up on the quite stark differences. That you say are there.

I don't need to be up on American Politics to any large degree at all, like yourself. I don't get into arguments or debate with Americans on American Politics. lol

You can't deny he is a psychopath JP, currently he is apparently going to try and give himself and his family presidential pardons before he can be charged with federal offences as soon as his arse is booted out of the White House!lol

The clown is the most corrupt POTUS and indeed leader of a Democratic country in history.

As for Joe the more I read about him the more I like and he has surrounded himself with excellent people in all departments.

Good for him.

Joe is a better a human than Trump.

As Jimmy Carter is a much better human than Nixon was.

Jimmy was a failure as a president though. He's still fine man though.

Joe isn't half the man of Jimmy though. Joe's first campaign went down in flames over plagerism (from a Brit no doubt). Joe has lied about how his wife died, and has supported all manner of things I want no part of.

You're weird obsession with Trump has you so biased that you'd support Castro over him.

So you say MD but from all of his previous colleagues both US and abroad on the news I have never heard a bad word said about Biden.

I don't expect you to like anyone much in the White House though as you are a Libertarian who likes neither of the main parties. wink

I am not obsessed by Trump but I simply cannot believe so many intelligent Americans voted him in and millions still believe he is their Messiah it's like a weird religious cult, perhaps you don't realise what a joke/hate figure the corrupt buffoon is seen outside of the US which is rather an insular country in certain areas?

He has the nuclear codes - as far as I know a functioning psychopath has never been in the White House before plus the damage he has done to environmental protections and wildlife cannot be overstated.

America's reputation has been trashed by the both him and his many enablers (many of whom are finally deserting him to save their own skins).

We have had some highly divisive figures as PM like Thatcher but none of them were literally insane and we have never stormed the Houses of Parliament to try and get an election overturned by armed violence.

As POTUS  (often called the powerful position in the world) he also dominates the news over here, I just can't wait for him to be arrested on federal charges when his fat arse is booted out on the 20th.

Tell me something bad you heard about Carter.

Nothing at all, Jimmy is a truly good man.

I get that you are saying to be a decent POTUS you don't have to be a decent bloke MD (they are all career politicians after all) but surely a blatant psychopath (who has just 'apologised' and condemned his own supporters to try and save his own skin lol) should never have been elected in the most powerful country in the world?

We were that nation once but never (by the standards of the day) did we elect sadistic lunatic as our PM and our empire spanned the world.

A lot of it has to do with his base far right Christian evangelicals, conspiracy theorists, Militias and the NRA (all of which he has expressed his utter contempt for in the past when fucking up boxing for us fans at one time) or an alliance of them all - a combination of fanatics who will never stop now.

What do you have against the NRA? I've been a member off and for years. I own firearms and don't care if you do or don't. I mean they are a bit too liberal for me, but I tolerate that flaw.

I just watched his faux concerned video speech about not wanting any more violence and that his 'real' supporters would never commit such wicked crimes.

Has he suddenly forgotten that he was praising all the extremists a few hours after they stormed the Capitol.

"We love you; you're very special."

The absolutely gob-smacking hypocrisy of the man!

Amazing.

 Doubtful.

At least he will never show it.

He's the greatest thing to happen to the Democratic Party in years.

I can't wait to see how much fun things will be over here for the next few years. scruffy

He seems to have become even more orange recently!

I notice his greatest anonymous guest supporter on this thread has not said a single word since the events of last week.

I wonder why? lol

You reap what you sow (the Republicans that is, not you MD) - far too many of them enabled his extreme behaviour and some still are making excuses for him, like Jim Jordan for example.

There are now more military personal in Washington DC than in Iraq and Afghanistan combined!

Holy shit!

Yup. The last month they have really dug themselves a grave. I think they should have dumped him about 2 weeks after the election. I understand the desire to try to hang on to Georgia, but in hindsight, he hurt them there too.

Republicans are going to have to clean house, and the politicians in DC aren't going to like it.

4 years ago the Reps had the House, Senate and White House. Now they got nada at the federal level.

In a way it would be better for the Republicans if he does get convicted, that way he cannot run for public office again and possibly form his own party which would finish them for decades.

The best thing for the Republicans at this point is to wash their hands of him. It will be tough for a lot of politicians who sucked up to him. Trump's old and won't be a factor for 2024. His supporters are like black people in the Dem party. They got nowhere else to go and they will vote Republican.

Independents are where it's at. Republicans need to convince them that they are not crazy.and stop worrying about Trump loyalists.

I don't read conspiracy sites thanks, especially those who twist things so badly they make the most blatantly corrupt POTUS in history a great hero.

Indeed he has!

A great unifying speech by Joe as well, it must be really difficult overcoming a stutter like he suffered from. nod

When did you realize he had a stutter?

About the time people couldn't explain his incoherent ramblings?
