In addition to his suite at the military hospital in Bethesda, Md., the most notable advantage Trump enjoys is access to an experimental antibody treatment that has been given to fewer than 10 people under the “compassionate use” program that the president’s doctors employed to obtain the drug from its manufacturer, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals. About 2,000 others have received the drug or a placebo because they are enrolled in the company’s clinical trial.

I am now absolutely certain he is a stone cold psychopath (and I was fairly sure before) if he really has had the virus then the statements he is coming out with at the moment are absolutely heartless to the 215,000 (so far) that have lost their lives under his 'watch'.

He has also just had two posts removed by Facebook blatantly lying about how many Americans die a year from the normal flu to make COVID-19 seem far less deadly.

Incredibly his strategy is working - I have just seen a US pollster on BBC News saying his support is now surging.

I despair.

Maddog is probably right that the Dr's at the hospital wouldn't go along with the pretense he has the virus if he does not, and like has been said, he could feel better before he starts to feel worse, as many other people have reported.
I would not put anything past him though...he is a born liar.

To make that ridiculous speech about him beating the virus, feeling better than he has done for 20 years, and it's nothing to be scared of....it's a slap in the face for everyone ...and that would be well over one million people globally, who have died after contracting the virus.....not to mention their grieving families.

She is there for one thing and one thing only, to look good on his arm and warm his bed and she knows it I expect but all that money and luxurious lifestyle makes things bearable.

I haven't heard. But it appears to have infected numerous people in Washington.

No one has been hospitalized that I know of.

Meh, they were all playing games anyway.

That's often the best negotiating tool. Get up from the table and tell them your done.

In any event, we are up to our eyeballs in debt. A little less borrowing might keep this thing afloat a little longer.

I never understood the National Debt here let alone in the US.

All I see is astronomical numbers whizzing ever upwards which renders it strangely meaningless to the ordinary bloke in the street.

The doctors would do as they are told they are in a military hospital taking orders and will any of them be brave enough to step up and tell us the truth in this age of locking up truth tellers whistle blowers being fired being imprisoned being isolated being tortured?

Do anyof us know which doctors saw him if any?

Were those doctors secret service men CIA or just members of a military medical crew who won't dare speak out?

We don't know but it certainly doesn't look like he had it.

When I heard he's been taken to a military hospital .... a militar that he has slagged off and abused many times and avoided serving in it did cross my mind tthat they've kidnapped him!!!!

Rest assured, it will matter one day, it always does.

That's why they have budgets and collect taxes.

Politicians simply spending to appear helpful is irresponsible. They are buying allegiance on the backs of people not even born yet.

Some might even say they are evil.

Well done Donald and Mike on your outstanding handling of the Pandemic with the most resources of any nation on the planet at your disposal - 217, 000 dead and counting according to Worldometer.

If you read that, they never really mention Trump. They mention our "leaders". Not that Trump's attitude wasn't "unhelpful", but he's not in a position to do much in many of these cases.

We don't have a system where our President can mandate much.

It's why our state and local elections are more important than in other countries.

They don't take orders from the federal government.

Even so surely you agree his attitude, denial, shambolic press conferences and politicising of COVID-19 has been disgusting MD?

It takes a lot to disgust me.

Why are you so worried about the orange man anyway?

Because he is the most powerful man in the world and unstable.

Meh. He's not going to start WWIII or anything.

I understand Americans having problems with him, and I can see Brits not thinking he's much of a leader, but I don't understand Brits getting too worked up about him.

I really can't think of how he has impacted the UK or anyone that lives there.

He isn't even the most powerful man in the US. The house blocks him at every turn and he gets the blame from people who don't understand how it all works.  He is being blamed for all the violence when its the state governors who are responsible for policing their state.

he has done many good things.   My medication has gone from $700 a month to $50 a month, has media reported that? No, I have not seen them say anything good about him at all.

That's odd, because the 'executive orders' he signed on drug prices haven't been implemented. Are you sure you've got your facts straight?

I don't understand why Brits get worked up him about either.    He's a tit for sure, but not a tit I ponder on for long.
