Your opinion on Biden depends if you believe Reade and from what I have read I don't.

I wonder if Donald "grab 'em by the pussy" Trump's supporters see any irony in the vast amount of sexual assault and rape allegations against him?

It is strange how differently countries leaders are seen in other nations, Thatcher was adored in the States whilst she was despised here in the North and when Reagan was first elected no one in the UK could quite believe it - I remember that as a young kid.

My opinion on Biden is from watching him. Hes hardly a stranger to Americans that follow politics. He has been around for 50 years. He ran for president before and quit in disgrace.

He has flip flopped on about every stance he has ever taken.

And that's not even counting the weird way he touches women and children.

Americans liked Thatcher because Reagan liked her. And she was tough. Americans, at least they used to,  like people thatmake a stand, and remain firm in that strance.

And while I'm no expert on UK politics, she seemed popular enoughto stick around quite awhile.

She made a stand alright - for the rich and privileged and the South (I expect a few on here will remember) I will give her this one thing though.

She had a grounded scientific background and would have been the first to say 'fuck you' to Trump about his policies on the environment and climate change if needed.

When was the last President from working class roots?

At least we have had a few PM's.

Anyway just watched the debate - exactly as I thought it would be.

Dull.

I really hate this crap. The south suffered as well we are not all rich in the south. You do make me laugh though you know she was a bitch and you hated her, but you like the fact she would have hated trump except she was right-wing like Trump.  She would have hated Biden and Obama, they have let the far left prosper.

Coupled with that awful woman Harris is why I think he is going to lose.

I have been watching the rallies even Obama only manages to attract a handful of people before he endorsed Biden he would really bring the crowds in.  People are starting to see right through the Dems lately.   I have also been looking into some of the walkaway groups and forums so many Dems are now voting for Trump.

Very interesting times.   Shame the media is so biased in Biden's favour  Would love to see a fair battle but if Trump does win it will be despite the media rather than because of them, unlike Joe.

Yeah - over 1,200 deaths yesterday and now increasing exponentially again, you are not even out of the first wave yet so a 'bit of a wally' is the understatement of the century as sad as that is.

China?

He sold his soul to China and Russia long, long ago.

Thump and China dont get along at all.

The Russia thing?

Who knows?

What do you think Trump could do at this point to stop the increase in spread of Covid?

Maybe he just does not watch Trump. Its clear Trump and China are not in bed with each other, unlike Biden.    There is no Russian thing, for my whole life anytime something corrupt comes up you blame Russia, It's getting so old now.  I see Biden is blaming them for the Hunter stuff.   I still believe the hunter stuff is going to be huge, media is trying to gloss over it and point fingers at others  but it will come out in the end.

The largest death counts were in those 5 dem states where they see fit to put covid patients into elderly facilities killing off so many. (same in the UK) absolutely nothing Trump could have done to stop that.

I was reading yet another article earlier that once again death counts have been exaggerated by including flu, phenomena etc.  I believe it's the same everywhere.

Coincidently talking about Russia This just popped up on my FB from 4 years ago.

The BBC's John Simpson, asks Vladimir Putin:

"Western countries almost universally now believe that there's a new cold war and you, frankly, have decided to create that. We see almost daily, Russian aircraft making dangerous manoeuvres toward western airspace - that must be done on your orders, you're the commander and chief. It must have been on your orders that troops were sent into a sovereign country. Crimea first, and then whatever it is that's going on in Eastern Ukraine.
Now you've got a big problem with the currency of Russia, and you're gonna need help and support and understanding from other countries - particularly from the West.
So i ask you now if you are prepared to
take this opportunity to say to people from the West, that you have no desire to carry on with a new cold war and you will do whatever you can to sort out the problems in Ukraine"

President Trump has 4 nominations for a the Nobel peace prize.  I think, unlike Obama who got one for gods knows what reason seeing how he was so war hungry he ran out of bombs. Trump deserves one.  Trump actually is trying to bring peace between nations.  he wants troops home he is always in peace talks.

4 times and for actual actions of trying and managing to bring peace.

Why did Obama win it though? he out of all the USA presidents dropped the most bombs, he changed the face of war as well with his drone strikes, his military advisers accused him of trying to micromanage the military.  yet people still think he was a peace loving president.  the same people who believe Trump to be a hateful warmonger.

I don't actually like Trump. Why do you always believe that if anyone says anything not condemning of a person they worship them. Such black and white thinking.  I can separate the tress and see the wood I don't have to be a trump supporter to see his achievements in certain areas.

Fackcheakers?    bored  Stay out of the grownups debate please you make yourself look a damn fool. Why do you think you know more about American politics than those of us who live in here? You actually know jackshit and only ever post a few lines of insults coupled with very dubious links.

Bottom line what many people believe about a leader is what the mainstream media tells them. The media has become far too powerful here and in the US. Many people don't read or watch anything beyond the likes of BBC and Sky News. They believe what they are told. If those organisations have it in for a leader then it's definitely going to be more of struggle for that leader to stay in power long-term.
