Anyone who is looking for a truly extreme haunted house experience should add McKamey Manor to their bucket list. This might just be the world's scariest haunted house, and it's almost certain to leave you shaking. Originally located in San Diego, CA, the McKamey Manor haunted house can now be found in locations like Huntsville, AL, and Nashville, TN. Whichever spot you choose, you should be prepared to descend into a living nightmare that, like abduction experiences, could stay with you far longer than you can handle the house. Unlike a stay at a haunted hotel where you might run into a ghost, you will definitely face horrifying things during your McKamey Manor experience.
You may have heard many stories about visiting intense haunted houses, like the Winchester Mystery House, discouraging even the most hardened of horror enthusiasts. McKamey Manor firsthand accounts make it clear this legend has come to life. This experience is so intense that you have to sign a detailed waiver to get in, and you should expect to encounter horror and grotesque scenarios inside. Sure, you'll be traumatized, but you'll have a creepy experience you can share forever about being one of the few people who survived a real-life horror story.
One year I'm doing the autopsy room. Body parts everywhere, a basket of intestines [dangling] from the ceiling, blood everywhere, you know the normal stuff. One night early on I had missed dinner, so I raided the candy bowl and grabbed a bunch of those fun sized Snickers and hid them in the gut basket. Group comes in faster than I expected just in time to see me take the candy bar out of the basket and pop it in my mouth.
A woman screams, "Oh my GOD HE'S EATING SH*T!"
She swears she saw me squeeze a big old lump of sh*t out of one of those intestines (which can't be true, they were made out of expanding insulation foam and painted, they were all solid). After that I started working that into my routine. Made more than one person vomit that year...
We're emphatically told to scare everyone. A lot of scare-actors don't like to scare young children, which is understandable, but I do... Children shouldn't be there in the first place. The parents usually force them to go. Not my fault your kid is going to have nightmares.
And my favourite....
We had a guy who would chase after you with a chainsaw (chain removed) after you left the house. You know, just run after you a few steps when you came out the door.
Well, one time these two girls came out and I swear to God, one of the girls just had like an extreme panic response and I guess her body chose fight over flight. She literally chased the guy down while he was yelling, "I'm just kidding! It's just a joke!" and she kicked him in the balls so hard he vomited.
I remember once we OH, son and I were in the haunted house in Blackpool, before you get to the exit there was a long corridor that was completely black, you had to feel your way along it, there were ghostly noises, the floor was uneven too, it was horrible.
Son and OH were a lot quicker than me, and left me groping my way along, ignoring me when I shouted them to wait for me. I must have been nearing the end, because there was a sliver of light coming in, and I could just about make out my OH crouching down waiting to pounce out or do something equally stupid, so as I neared him I swung my shoulder bag (and it was heavy because it had drinks in it) at him and walked on and out....he staggered behind me clutching his face saying loudly "You kicked me in the eye"
