Just been seeing loads of posts on a film forum saying that the original Blade Runner is 'racist' because everyone was not black.
Things really are going to fuck now as the entire film was about discrimination and slavery via mortality and our reactions to it - are these moron wokes really so thick?
I think they are.
Really? How silly.
You‘ll believe anything!
At least we'll be having a black Anne Boleyn for the most recently regurgitated Tudor masterpiece.
I doubt anyone will top the performance of Genevieve Bujold to Richard Burtons Henry VIII in the film "Anne of the thousand days".
This virus is like a Mexican wave....one area is doing OK one is not, then within a matter of days it can reverse.
True. One area here went from 167 to 64 per 100,000 in a week. While another area close by went from 60 to 163 in a week.
Italy have just recorded 731 deaths. Most since early April.
I actually think that this time around no matter what you do. No matter what kind of local lockdowns/lockdowns or restrictions you try. None of the Countries that seem to get hit the worst of all time and time again will manage to slow the virus right down to July/August levels. I don't think it will happen.
May be it's even more contagious now. Who knows. Or may be you'll never get people to behave again in the same way as they did for the first 5 to 6 weeks of the original lockdowns. Could be a combo of both that will carry on causing serious problems.

And just to add. I read about one European Country the other day, I think it may have been Czech Republic. Who've always gone into lockdowns extremely early before the infection rates have hardly moved and before deaths are above single figures. It appeared to work until the other week. When suddenly they had a rather steep rise in cases. Experts there sounded quite perplexed by it. I've seen quite a few experts use words such as peculiar regarding certain aspects of this virus.
As I've always said at times some things juts don't appear to add up.
What can you do though. Apart from your best. Ultimately do your best to keep yourself and your loved ones safe as possible.
It is a bit of a mystery, seems no matter what is put into place, it works for a while then gathers speed again.
We have been told that when the lockdown ends on Dec 2nd, Greater Manchester may be put in an even stricter tier than what we were in before...as we were already in tier 3, not sure what other regulations would be added.

Yes. I mean I guess if all else fails the authorities could try China lockdown style restrictions and punishments. You gotta laugh about this sometimes.
Have you heard about the mouthwash study? Being done at Cardiff Uni. Apparently a particular ingredient in some/or maybe all mouthwashes I'm not sure if it's all or not. But apparently in the lab it's been found to kill covid. Further and final findings should come out in January. Imagine that, swig some mouthwash around and, bye, bye, covid. How ironic that would be. That would be like someone was having a laugh. If something as simple as that stopped people from getting real ill and possibly dying.
I heard that JP, I commented to my OH that if the same ingredients in mouthwash could be put into tablet form, people could suck them as and when rather than wait to get home so they could use the mouthwash.
But....like you say, it all sounds a bit ironic, maybe sucking a polo would have the same effect.
In Boots today.....I was in the queue for the checkout, I heard the lady behind me, who was social distancing, say to someone ...If you had asked me to move I would have"...apparently a Boots assistant had muscled her way right beside this woman to put get something off the shelf.
The Boots assistant said sharply...."You needn't worry love, you wont catch anything". The lady responded with 'That's not the point, everyone in the queue is social distancing, yet you have stood right next to me' Boots assistant responded, 'I have a job to do, you are safe, you wont catch anything from me'....at which point lady asked to speak to the manager because she wanted to complain....'About what' said Boots assistant....'Your attitude' said lady.
I had to turn round and say to the lady..."You are right" because she was.
If staff don't follow guidelines it's hardly surprising if customers dont.

The BBC deliberately made no mention of this latest grooming gang's race or religion (as usual with this sort of story they try to sweep it under the carpet), but I knew straight away and found I was correct in the Metro.
Before you read the article below take a wild guess as to what faith these bastards follow.
The police said years ago these investigations would be ongoing, and the men charged and jailed in the North West of England were just the tip of the iceberg....many more would follow. It's good to see some of these men are now facing jutice.....sadly not enough.
"But in May 2019 it was estimated that there were at least 73 grooming gangs operating in the UK. The inability of South Yorkshire Police and other forces to act professionally and speak openly and plainly about the ethnicity of on-street child abusers is a significant factor in why these horrific offences have gone undetected for so long and it remains a significant factor today."

It's the main news item on Sky about the way the authorities are continuing to throw young girls to the wolves even after they have reporting being gang raped, tortured and beaten to the police.
What does the BBC News have to say about it?
Nothing as it's not even mentioned on their reports.
What a surprise.

Although to be fair, Three girls, which was a factual drama of the abuse carried out in Rochdale was a BBC programme.
Is this the most harrowing drama ever shown on the BBC? Horrified viewers are forced to switch off Rochdale child abuse series Three Girls - while others say it should be screened in SCHOOLS
Three Girls is a three-part dramatisation of the Rochdale child abuse scandal
The widespread grooming and assault came to light in 2012 after a social worker blew the whistle on a cover-up
But viewers said the episode was hard to watch as girls were beaten and raped
Some turned off, but others thought the drama should be shown in schools

I presume drama and the news section are separate entities in the BBC Syl.
Otherwise why would their news reports continue to downplay what is still going on and never mention the fact that the gangs are Muslims of Pakistani and Bangladeshi origins?
Are they afraid of being accused of so called 'Islamophobia'?
It baffles me.
