Or will it undo all the sacrifices that millions of people have so far made.
I believe a lot of people will have a normal or very close to normal Christmas for them regardless of any set of rules. I've heard a lot of people say this as well.
So I guess the authorities may as well make it legitimate.
3 though. 5 is more likely to create a situation where a newly infected person who became infected on day 1 or 2 or just before that. Goes to visit a second household on days 4/5. Before they even notice they have the virus or may be they never have symptoms. And unknowingly shed some virus to those people whom they are visiting.
Give people an inch legitimately and they may not take a mile then.
Over 10,500 deaths in one day, 598 here and 1639 in the US - all this stop start business is doing no good at all - it's up to the vaccines now and hopefully most people will take them when they are proven to be safe.

529 today. About 70 less than last Wednesday. 598 was yesterday I think. Infection down around 2,500 from last Wednesday.
The problem is a fair number of people aren't even starting in terms of doing the right things no matter what the restrictions and rules happen to be. Like I've said before I don't think nowhere no Country is going to get the same compliance as they did in the first 5 to 6 weeks of their first national lockdowns.
I honestly think it's better to give people something at Christmas. Give them nothing and many will rebel strongly. And do what they want anyway. I think it has come to that.

Aye I could see you would be rebellious
Not me I always think about my 94 year old Nan. And vulnerable members of my family. I'm always very careful what I do.
But hey there's no point in winding up further the growing numbers of people who basically will do pretty much what they want no matter what. By not allowing any kind of Christmas gathering.

I bet a lot of these are infections caught over the summer.
I guess shutting up everyone non-stop since March would have worked a little better.
Which Country can do that though.
I know one who pretty much tried it. And recently they suddenly had quite a steep rise of infections. This infection is seriously strange and unpredictable. That is for sure!

Yeah that's what I meant, 529 today is still not good though.

Yep it's not looking good for a number of Countries. As usual really.
