At the top of your post there is a little green tree icon - click on it and and paste your gif or image. nod

Ok. But I'm lazy. I like the Gif function on social media where you search and paste from the same icon.

This needs to be addressed  because everything needs to be about making things easier for me.  scruffylol

The benevolent jailers giving you a few days with your family so you will feel grateful.

do you really believe if this virus was as deadly as you are being told they would do this? If this virus was as deadly as we are told we would not even want to.

People are not wearing a mask because they believe it helps but because they are scared of other's reactions if they don't. You can tell the majority don't believe they work because hardly anyone uses them how they are supposed to be worn and used.  I've lost count how many I see scrambling in their pockets, bag or run back to the car and rummage around looking for a mask.  I speak to people and they are all the same " I don't think they work but what can you do?"

How many times have you been told that the tests were wrong but still you believed the numbers, How many times were you told that they were putting everyone who died down as a covid death and still you believed the numbers.

I have seen posts from each of you saying that things don't make sense and yet still you believe the numbers and do what you are told.

The symptoms list covers just about everything going and this is not even the extensive list.  I did notice on one it said  suicidal tendencies bored

A lot don't believe the numbers.  But that doesn't mean you still can't catch it and die.   It's personally touched my life, and others on here.   It's real.   And it's killing people. Doesn't matter what the figures are.

Figures out show that the virus has been the biggest killer this year in the UK after dementia and heart disease.
Dementia and heart disease usually take years to develop, it's a slow process which people can live with for many years before they die.
The coronavirus kills people quickly, obviously if the NHS is overwhelmed other more treatable illnesses will be neglected causing many more deaths.

One of the reasons things don't make sense is because it affects people so differently. Some don't even know they have had it, others, and not only the elderly it seems now, become very ill very quickly.

Obviously everyone, even the ones who are in denial thinking this virus is no more deadly than a mild dose of flu, realise that it's spread by contact, so if people can do all they can to stop the spread by contact by wearing masks, social distancing, following guidelines etc, they are aiding not only themselves but society as a whole.

To me it seems a small price to pay...and the more people who do it the quicker it will be over.

In the back of my mind I always thought I'd eventually get it. I assumed I was in good enough health that it would just be a giant nuisance, and so far that's mostly what it is.

This thing doesn't end with masks or social distancing. Those are to keep the numbers manageable. Those things will have zero impact on how long the virus sticks around. It ends when it dies (like the Spanish Flu ), or we kill it with a vaccine.

I'm happy that so far you seem to not be having a lot of trouble with it Maddog, the stats do show that for the majority of healthy people it can be coped with OK.

Yes you are right about how it will end, though hopefully it wont be the same as the Spanish flu that killed many millions globally.

In the meantime masks and social distancing do help curb the spread....a small price to pay , and tbh the constant whining of some people who feel so put out about these guidelines really grates.

That is what makes some people go down the it's engineered route or at least contemplate it. The below link tells a bit of a story. About genes etc And once again scientists mentioning them being puzzled about something specific.

No doubt it slows it down.  But there are people that believe we can make it end with masks and distancing. That's not the case. My mother cought it in a hospital with very controlled access and 100% mask usage.  The doctor that explained my results to me had just gotten over it. I'm sure she got exposed from a patient and I'm betting they both were wearing masks.  The best prevention for this virus and most health problems is taking care of your health. That cant be emphasized enough.

Americans and some Europeans have become reliant on medications to offset their poor choices and lifestyles. That's fine and dandy until something like this comes along and it cant be handled with a pill. I'm not guru, a d I damaged my body enough as a young man,  but I now know that most of these things, and this virus in particular can largely be controlled by how well I take care of myself.  Because sometimes science cant develop that silver bullet fast enough to save us from something like this.

Yep. it all makes sense. Though a persons immune system can also have a lot to do with how well we cope with certain infections, and the seemingly fittest person can have a low immune mechanism.

I don't think it's unusual to catch infections in hospital. Sadly your mum did, and I also know someone who went in hospital for totally unconnected reasons, caught Covid and sadly died.
When you are living alongside people so closely, or coming into constant contact with the medical staff who are mixing with people with the virus, it's not surprising people catch infections in the hospitals.

Well you did have our own PM Boris basically say out loud it was his weight and being too fat for his size and build that made covid pretty bad for him. Needing ICU. I'm sure he was told that by some of the best medical minds in this Country.

So yeah people have to look after themselves generally the best they can.

Look up cytokine storm syndrome. If you don't know what it is already. Seemingly it can happen to anyone no matter age and health. There's some stuff relating to covid and it.

But it sure won't do any harm if people try and look after their general health the best they can.

Yeah, months ago I believed that Asians were less susceptible to this because of something that may have happened 100's of years ago. Maybe a similar outbreak.  Now I just think they are thinner, healthier people. That's why they have fared so well.

Our black community is our most obese.  It's also the hardest hit.  Draw whatever conclusions you like.

No I hadn't heard of it, it's interesting though, and whereas I was thinking people with a low immune system may be more susceptible, this is highlighting an over active immune system.

I read new science articles on the virus everyday and how the latest discoveries are shaping our treatment of COVID.

Do the conspiracy theorists really believe that all these governments would virtually bankrupt their economies for years to come just to pull sort of half-arsed Illuminati stunt?

It is not man-made it is one of many zoonotic diseases and can be lethal to the vulnerable and old (not to mention the long term damage it has done to so many) and the numbers are as accurate as can be expected.

When the vaccines come I just hope many of the anti vaxxers will change their bloody minds for the sake of their elderly/sick relatives.

Or they will keep the virus circulating far longer than it should especially in America and it's a horrible and lonely way to die.

May all be true. But when was such a "fuss" last made about a zoonotic disease.

I guess the "fuss" made about this one is what makes some people not buy into it. They can't believe it's happening in the way it appears to be.
