Remember rollup posting a couple of years back about how those self service tills in the supers were already obsolete? He spoke also of lots of new types of self service that hadn't been taken up as yet but that was because they too no matter how clever were also obsolete even before installation! He spoke of walking in a shop and there being no checkouts and no checkout staff you would just walk in make your purchases and walk back out again all paid up. Well he was right because they have now opened at least ten no checkout no queues stores in London. Google it for yourselves. The thing is this kind of information back then was high security. High security because it is the movement and exchange of money so it was high level banking security information back then. He went from villain to security expert for the government and banks which of course he'll never admit but ask him how he knew. I'll ask him.  Yep...little ones love a tree and all the decorations, it'll be worth doing it for her. 

 

My OH has spent the afternoon getting  the tree outside the front ready., it's huge,  he lights it up beautifully, then plonks a big star on the top.

 

Christmas is traditionally a time for families, but it's a fact of life, especially for single parents, that when the kids have left the nest, sometimes living a long way away, that the old ways are gone. It's a little sad but something we have to deal with. The Tulip poster seems to have it in for Stooo, and is being a bit cruel with his/her comments. I say all the best to Stooo, good for him for making the effort to put up a Christmas tree in his home, it's a symbol of hope and new life and can be an inspiration for whoever sees it. I wish Stooo, and everyone else who might not be with their family this Christmas, a peaceful Christmas and New Year.

 Yeah, and I'm not sure if he has one or two kids, where their mom is, or where the kids live,  but you take your time with them that you can because they are getting pulled in several different directions too.

 So stooo is going to have a christmas tree and a kfc for company. My only problem with that is. His going to buy a kfc means someone else has to leave their family on Christmas day to serve him.

It's no use saying not everyone celebrates Christmas so they might be the ones working. Corporate doesn't work that way. They don't give a shit what your beliefs are they want you working.

I just read of a Major store in the US stating that they would never open on Thanksgiving day again. Because they wanted it's workers to spend the day at home with family and they were all about family.

The truth was more simple than that. The hourly paid workers who were scheduled to work Thanksgiving and Christmas day just simply called out sick and there was never enough people to open the stores.

 Different guest here, I remember you using Charlie's account when you were banned. It's a shame you get so aggressive when your posting history gets talked about, you're able to have a good intelligent debate the rest of the time.

The posters that continuously snipe here anonymously from Dogs forum are all trouble causers or liars, or they blindly believe the lies that have been bandied around on there over the years.

It would be interesting to see if these posters (the same few) would have the nerve to say who they are...but they will hide behind the old "you allow guest posts, it's my right" to cover their tracks

And whilst I am on the subject, posts about family, either concerning members or none members, will not be allowed...so stop bothering.
