My favorite new song.

It's definitely your kind of music...I think it may grow on me if I heard it a few times.

Listen to the lyrics and think how it sounds like he really means them..

This is a good song for rubbing buckles..😎

Is thar a euphemism? or do you mean actually rubbing buckles?

I only understand about 20% of what he is saying..

I'll bet a lot of women and a few gay men wouldn't care what he's saying.

He's got some pipes..

Makes me feel like grabbing my OH and doing a rousing Flamenco in the kitchen....till I remember my other knee needs replacing.

He is good. happy

I was out Saturday night and one of the girls wanted to see a Latin band that was playing outdoors in Fort Worth..

Hundreds of people doing the salsa or the cumbia depending on the song.

I didn't try it, but actually watched some videos yesterday and I think I have the basic steps for the cumbia down and can pull it off now.

Most Latinas love gringos that try to speak their language and embrace their culture..

Give it a go next time you go to a Latin gig....enthusiasm and a bit of rhythm go far on the dance floor....just try not to revert to any dad dancing.

Ha. You won't see me doing that.

I danced some Friday night with a date who had never country danced.

She is just divorced from a 30 year marriage from a guy that didn't do that sorta thing.

The dance lessons went well.  😉

That's why I spend all that time in the gym..

I need to stay fit to stay in the game..

And thankfully this attractive sweet thing is about 120 lbs.

I can handle those size girls just fine. 😉

I know I have posted this, but if anyone missed it, just give it a listen, two great voices in harmony...it's brilliant.

It's a good song to listen to whilst driving I suppose.

You don't have to have a technically good voice to sing country and have a big hit do you?...more a lived in voice.

Country is lyrics based, at least much of it. Currently, the mainstream pop country stuff still relies on singers that you would hear on American Idol and the like.

But a lot of country, blues, folk and the like require a message or a good story..

Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan and especially say Kris Kristopherson would never even qualify for American Idol..

The last time Nashville was more into the pop sound (60s) they basically told Willie he needed to just keep writing songs and give up on singing.

He came home to Texas and started his own brand and never looked back..

This is Kris's song (same as Bobby MsGee), but no one is going to ever call him a great vocalist.

He's a singer songwriter..

Not so great a singer, but gorgeous to look at in his prime, that never hurts.

I appreciate Dylan now I am older, and Willie is a one-off.

I really appreciate great singing though...and there is no doubt that Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga have the perfect blend of harmonies when they sing together.....I am a bit obsessed with that song at the moment.

Kris was an Army Ranger and a Rhodes Scholar. His roommate in the UK was Al Gore..

He was working as a janitor when he "borrowed" a National guard helicopter and landed it on Cash's yard with a demo tape in his hand.
