I listen mainly to GMR, greater Manchester Radio.
It's a local channel run by the BBC, it's played on there, and as radio 1 and 2 often seem to play songs from the same playlist, it'll be playd on those stations too.

Other music channels play from the charts....and as it's now No I ....both here and in the US, (just checked) most stations will be playing it.

We don't pigeonhole our music as you seem to do.

One channel will play everything from rock, pop, country, charts, everything from the 60's to the present.

Dolly will be played next to Ed Sheeran or the Stones, we are obviously more diverse than you are.

I checked your charts.

Beyonce is #1.

The only actual country artist in the top 100 is Zach Bryan, at 58.

I would imagine that's because country isn't very popular in the UK. It's a niche market there.

Unless you're a pop star in a cowboy hat pretending to sing country. Then you can have a hit while actual country artists get zero play time..

Benny Hill used to do the same thing when he picked up a guitar and put on a western hat, and was hilarious. But we knew it was all for laughs..

But Billboard measures downloads (not just radio play)..

Beyonce could sing Happy Birthday and probably crack the top 100 because of her fan base..

It's like saying Budweiser is the best beer in the world because so many people drink it..
