'Raging Bull' - a very good film but vastly overrated due to De Niro's performance and Scorsese's direction.

For a start LaMotta was the scum of the earth - a serial wife beater, Mafia thug, sex offender and admitted (but never prosecuted) rapist.

The film made him seem like a devastating puncher when he was truly not and the great Cerdan would have kicked the fuck out of him in the rematch had he not died in a plane crash (he was severely injured in their fight).

Boxing seems to make idols out of absolute filth whilst ignoring the good human beings.

'The Hurricane' was total bullshit as well as he was very probably guilty of the crimes he was incarcerated for.
