Where was all the care for him was he was alive?...this is useless and utterly pathetic imo.
"Six-year old Arthur Labinjo-Hughes was cruelly tortured, neglected and murdered at the hands of his sadistic father and step-mother in Solihull, West Midlands (UK). He still remains unburied in the hospital mortuary.
The unbearable suffering felt by this young boy in his short life has touched the nation; breaking so many hearts along the way.
The UK government can pass a vote to hold a state funeral (usually held for monarchs or people of national significance).
Arthur is of national significance. He represents all the children who have no voice or power to stop their abuse and who are let down and not protected by the system. We should all pay our respects and show him that he is seen, heard and loved and that his death will not be in vain."
I agree with the petition, but it's too late for him, as it was for baby P and countless others. Social services isn't working, it needs a complete overhaul. I
They should work for the child not the abusive parents!

There are two online petitions.
One is for his monster parent/step-parent, sentence to be increased to a whole life order....I have signed that one.
The other is to give Arthur a state funeral. Pointless and insulting imo.

I agree Syl.
It's virtue signalling of the very worst kind.

FFS. Spend the money on getting the system right.
Exactly.

I don't think giving the child a state funeral is appropriate and so ott. A nice private funeral would be best no need to turn it into a Carnival.
Syl, I've signed all petitions about Arthur on change.org. I often sign petitions, for anything I feel strongly about!

Exactly Mags, and giving this little boy a state funeral would just salve the consciences of everyone who did sweet sod all to help him when he needed help.
Total hypocrisy.
I don't usually sign online petitions, but if getting enough signatures could help keep this pair in prison for life, I am happy to have signed this one.
Yes, yet another little girl murdered. The grandad tried to intervene, again he was ignored. About time grandparents were given a bigger say when their grandchild is abused, or they fear they are. At least hear them out.
Heartbreaking, and another child who could have been saved if social workers had investigated more thoroughly.
When different people, including grandparents report concerns about the safety of a child....why is this still allowed to happen?
What a beautiful child. All that potential snuffed out by - and let's not mince our fucking words - a psycho bull dyke. Her mother has a face like an angel and an IQ of 70. I watched that monster bitch boxing, and she has a punch like a man. Bragged about putting people in wheelchairs if they messed with her woman. Let's hope prison is Hell on earth for them both.

I believe one of the few roles for government is protecting the helpless, whether it be children, the disables or elderly.
How many people were harassed by the government for any number of silly transgressions while this poor thing was being beaten to death by these bitches.
All of this after five warnings to the authorities. It seems like this department has become all about protecting the government employees, not the children.
Savannah Brockhill, who murdered 16-month-old Star Hobson in September last year, has been sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 25 years.
Star's mum, Frankie Smith, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for causing or allowing the death of a child.

Increasingly, people are calling for the death sentence for heinous crimes like this.
Sentencing won't prevent many of these cases. These parents aren't even thinking about that.
The focus should be on stopping these people before they harm or kill these children. Especially with so many warnings.
Until heads roll within the system that is supposed to protect these children, nothing will change. The people working for these government agencies have better protection than the kids they are supposed to be protecting. Beat on one of them and see how fast the system can move.
Even naming and shaming them doesn't work, they still retire (early, as soon as the shit hits the fan) on hefty pensions.
The death penalty may not deter these monsters from murdering the vulnerable babies and toddlers, but it would make damn sure they don't ever get the chance to do it again.
