George Clooney reveals he turned down $35m for a single day's work - and why
The Hollywood actor said the offer was for him to star in an airline commercial - but after discussing it with his wife, he declined.
In an interview with The Guardian, he was asked if he ever thought, "You know what? I think I have enough money."
He replied: "Well, yeah. I was offered 35 million dollars for one day's work for an airline commercial, but I talked to Amal about it and we decided it's not worth it.
It was (associated with) a country that, although it's an ally, is questionable at times, and so I thought, 'Well, if it takes a minute's sleep away from me, it's not worth it'."

Being financially secure is a great feeling. It doesn't make you a great person though.
I wonder how much work he turned down when he was starting out as a struggling actor because it might lose him a minutes sleep?
I don't think being financially secure, or in his case rolling in it, makes anyone a great person.
Having principles does though, and he probably had them no matter how much money he had in the bank.
Shame his principles didn't stop him working with Harvey Weinstein. Just because he's a good looking man it doesn't make him a decent person. Actors are well known to be self centered egotistical assholes

He was born to money. I think George is probably an alright guy, but I'm betting his wife's ethnicity came into play if it was an Israeli airline. In fact, that could be why an Israeli airline would pay him that much.
I could be wrong. Could be an Arab airline I guess.

I dont know him personally, and presumably neither do you.
He comes across as a pretty decent human being, and if you condemn every actor who worked with/knew Weinstein...that would be most A list actors in the industry.
He (George) says he knew Weistein could be an arsehole, but he had no idea about his sexual behaviour.
That's probably true, as soon as women came forwards about his behaviour, George was one of the first to condemn his behaviour.
