 He could have left with his dignity intact...and still been the best player on earth.

This may overshadow his playing, because he has actually now been caught out in fibbing and flouting the law....not good for anyone's public reputation.

 Exactly. He could have just said I don't need to defend my title of the Australian Nazi Open and put them on blast. Then posted pictures of himself on the beach in Spain resting up for the next Grand Slam event.

Most countries are just letting things roll at this point. Its time to live with covid and that means living with the unvaccinated. 

 

We have disrupted the planet enough. We have sacrificed enough freedoms. Authoritarianism is on the rise under the guise of safety, as it usually is.

 I do see your point. I think it's a bit unhealthy the way people are now fighting against each other as well as trying to ward off the virus.

In a perfect world, everyone would have access to all vaccinations that saved lives, and everyone would accept them.

We dont live in a perfect world though.

Just to digress a sec, in the papers here it said Meatloaf died of Covid, and he had previously publicly spoken out against the vaccine, so obviously he was unvaccinated.

 He made a choice as an overweight 70 year old. 

Heck, being overweight was a bit of a choice and is obviously unhealthy. 

We are at the point where governments are flexing and insisting people respect their authority, simply because it's what they do. It's time for us to tell them to back off. We have the information to keep us safe ish and we will decide how to implement it. Like all of our health choices, be they good or bad. 

Governments around the world are looking like power tripping assholes much like an American cop that insists people do exactly what they say because of their "position".

If there are people working with the very vulnerable, and they are required to take the vaccine in order to keep their jobs, i believe in their choice not to be vaccinated, no one should be forced to have any medical procedure that's against their wishes.
If they choose that right above keeping their job....that's up to them, as it's up to the employer to employ vaccinated staff.

 We (and parts of Canada) have actually let medical professionals go because they wouldn't get the vaccine, but have now asked others to come to work while still infected because we have so many vaccinated workers who are infected. 

It's getting silly now and people are starting to realize that this is just one more thing in life to deal with. It's as manageable as it's going to get regardless of anyone's vaccination status. So let's stop fighting about it.
