While the majority of people in Ukraine have shown themselves to have steel in their veins as they fight the Russians, a small minority in the country have been looting banks and supermarkets.

Civilians have fought back and have been tying them to lampposts to publicly humiliate them.

A step too far or justified...personally I would shot them. 

Thieving bastards.

Of course...

Tying people to lampposts was common in Northern Ireland but they tended to tar and feather them.

Usually to drug dealer's and I believe it was done by both sides.

The IRA used to do it to women they thought were involved with British Soldier's.

That wasn't acceptable, in my opinion. 

Doing it to the women that is.

I am all for a bit of vigilante justice if the authorities are doing nothing.
The problem is, not all vigilantes are sane and decent people...so mistakes can and do happen.
