There was a feret and a sugar glider too. 

They had a handler that explained them to the kids and let them pet them..

I have seen a monkey and an elephant at a kids party before too. Along with your usual barnyard animals.

I wouldn't have been inviting a kangaroo and its handler to a one year olds birthday party.

There was also an open bar for all of the adults. That's more my way of thinking.  😉

 Hopefully I won't have to make that call. 

A complete ban would require changing the constitution which is difficult, but not impossible. We've done it 16 times and a few times in my lifetime.  

What they could do is ban "assault type" weapons which they did in the 90s.  They never confiscated weapons here. They just banned the ability to buy new ones that matched a certain criteria.  

We and I have no experience with confiscation.  I don't know how we or I would act.  

Imagine confiscating whiskey from the Irish.  😉
