I have lots of solar lights in my back garden. I love sitting out at night looking at the stars. There were a good few shooting stars last night because we're coming up to Perseid shower.

The moon is amazing. I love the night, so peaceful, calm and all the stars, nature is wonderful.

I have never seen a shooting star.
Even in Wales, where there were so few street lights and I could see a million stars every night....not one shot. cry

Everyone has seen them but me I think.

I have even made a point of going out late at night when a shower of them has been predicted...still nothing. cry

 Open your eyes woman.

Anyway, we had a light shower yesterday for the first time in about 60 days..

We're still way behind, the lakes are low and everything is brown, yellow and dead.

Have you seen artificial satellites?  There are many of them, some brighter than others.  The international space station is very bright.  Shooting stars are hit and miss but you can increase your chances by going out during the peak of known meteor showers.   The perseids reach a peak activity between 9 and 14 August - so 11 & 12 should be good.   Unfortunately we have a full moon on August 11th so this year is not ideal for observing them.

The bloody roof stuck half up half down on the car yesterday...we had to drive home looking like a transformer. OH and his friend have managed to get it fully open, but we can't close the top or use the boot now.

It can't be fixed till Monday, luckily it's going to be scorching till then.
I think it's time to change this car, this is the second time this has happened.bored

Another very warm day in Bonnie Scotland today and it's to be even warmer tomorrow but we've been told to expect thunder storms on Sunday.

The boot in my dad's car got stuck once, full of shopping it was.

It couldn't just have been stuck that would have been bad enough!!
