It's near me, but it's only in low lying areas. Like 1% of the area, but if you're in that area when the water starts rising you can be in deep shit in a hurry.

Flash floods are not like when a big river floods. The water goes up very quickly, and dissipates quickly. It can go from 6 inches to six feet in 5 minutes and if you are stuck in traffic there's no where to go.

It's the #1 weather related killer in Texas and we have hurricanes and tornados.

I'm only aware of one woman drowning in the area. It's a miracle if they're aren't more.
