It has poured down here too Vita...then this afternoon the sun came out..then in, then out, and so it goes.

It turned into a nightmare here Syl.

My mother went to Glasgow and due to flooding the trains were cancelled so she phoned my dad to go and get her.

My dad isn't as confident as he used to be and hates driving to Glasgow but off he went and then he goes missing, eventually mother comes home in a taxi which wasn't cheep and father doesn't reappear for four hours.

His nerves were shot to pieces, i had to give him the brandy i had tucked away to sprinkle on my Christmas cake to calm him down.

Your poor dad. The brandy was better spent now than in the Christmas cake.

Which makes me thinK, it doesn't seem that long ago we were talking about making Christmas cakes, this year has flown.

And how is it, that a harmless looking white fluffy cloud that makes it's way towards the sun doesn't float on by, but morphs into the biggest blackest sky covering mass in a matter of minutes?

So....Autumn is really here, and it's gotten cold very quickly.
Heating is back on, cabin socks are back out.....time to start looking at holidays abroad.

I have had to wait after my op for 3 months before even thinking about flying...and that's about now. We will probably go on my birthday, November time.

Thanks Mags...it'll be coming up to three years since we had a proper holiday, first Covid, then op...I want to fit at least one holiday abroad in before I have my next op and am grounded for more months.
