The heatwave hasn't arrived yet, but we are already being told many trains wont be running. I guess it's the equivalent of the odd snowfall in winter, when the whole country grinds to a halt.
We are really useless at handling anything out of the norm here. I expect a hosepipe ban will be on the cards soon.

Technology has made us far more dependent. But it's also made.our lives so much better, until the weather decides to break that technology.
We build systems to handle 999 out of 1000 days in terms of weather..
That one day is just something that must be endured, because the cost of building infrastructure to handle that one day too, would be astronomical..

25 is what my AC is set at right now.
Of course I'm not home, so it's fine. 23 is about what I keep it at when I'm home.
Cambridge has recorded a temperature of 36c at 1pm, so the UK is closing in on it's highest ever temperature of 38.7c which was set in the same city in July 2019
