I believe Aliens did crash at Roswell, and it was covered up.
I also believe there are Aliens out there on other planets and visited us. In the whole of the universe it's absurd to believe we're the only life form.
The US is now admitting to seeing things that defy belief - using latest military sensors - they claim to have seen objects travelling at zero to 40,000 mph, through air and through water. One would expect dodgy sensors but according to military intelligence they have observed these objects using different sensors (e.g. infra red and radar) buzzing around their military ships and along the US coast. Bleeding nosey parkers if you ask me. We even had one of those Nobel prize winning physicists saying he was shown the data and him suggesting it could be some advanced level technology that makes use of planks length and fuzzy time to create quantum energy propulsion or something. This is the next level up from your simple flying saucers.

They travel billions of miles from across the galaxy only to crash land at Roswell. Clumsy I say.
I don't think any life form travels billions of miles in the way we think of travel. The only way it would be possible is interdimensional. To most of us that sounds like science fiction bollocks, but then 500 years ago everyone believed the earth was flat. So who knows? We certainly don't. We're still fumbling around in the dark.
Is there life out there? There must be. It defies logic to think we are the only living creatures in the entire Universe.

There's also the belief that every UFO you see is actually man made.
Why travel many quadrillions of miles (and that's the nearest stars) to piss about abducting gibbering bubbas in the deep South and shoving probes up their arse?
The US and other countries have plenty of 'Black Projects' which is what the US airmen may be seeing.
Abiogenesis is much much harder than most astronomers seem to think let alone intelligent life.
Shame we have totally fucked up the planet - we might well be alone in the galaxy or even the universe - it's a moot point anyway the distances are far too vast.

While it seems likely that something else is out there, I have little faith in my government's ability to keep a secret. We have had too many leaks of top secret information.
It's one reason I don't really do conspiracy theories. The clowns running the show can't keep a secret very long..
