Why do really fat people always wear leggings? They look gross 😝

When I was young sweets, chocolate, crisps and in particular chicken were a once in a couple of months (or longer) luxury - now you see kids who look like a fucking planetary system of moons they are so obese shoving shit down their throats 24/7.

Why don't the parents crack down a bit or are they as fat as fuck themselves? bored

JD.

Many mum's are fat, and don't cook proper meals, kids live off MacDonalds and takeaways.  My grandkids are normal size because both mum's cook proper dinners, as I did for them, and my mum did for us!

When i was a child, my brother and I got a two litre bottle of ginger (pop, fizzy drink, juice) whatever it's called in England a week.

Sweets on a Saturday and occasionally something off the ice cream van.

We never got takeaways, meals were always cooked by my mum.

Same thing each week depending on the day but that's because she worked full time and it made her life easier not having to think up different things to cook.

Packed lunches for school, pieces my mum had made.

Occasionally I've been at the local shop at lunch time when it's full of children.

Some have pot noodles, others have chips, rolls and sausage, cans of ginger and pockets stuffed with sweets/chocolate.

The parents must be giving them a tenner a day...at least.

When I was a kid there were very few takeaways, except for fish and chip shops, which were an occasional treat.

It's a myth that cheap rubbish is more economical than home cooked food. Take a couple of kids out for McDonald's or Pizza, add drinks etc, you could have cooked two or three nutritious meals at home....obviously that takes effort, which is the main reason people fill themselves and their kids up with junk.

It's disturbing, to be honest.  If all you feed your kids on is junk, you should be prosecuted for abuse.

It is abuse imo...we have a family iliving on our road. For years, every weekend or holiday, off the mother and daughter  drive (in pj's and slippers) to the nearest McDonalds, where the mother buys breakfast for them....the kid has often eaten hers in the garden, then she lets the wrappers blow over everyone elses gardens.

She is about 14 now, and must weigh about 16 stone...it's sad.

Oddly her mother, all fake tan and trout pout, is not overweight.

Parents should be fined for this.  Cook a proper meal.  I bet the mum's fat too.

My dad was going his dinger yesterday about obesity.

He did have a point...

A woman several houses down gets her grass cut and her garden tidied up because she's morbidly obese.

She's only in her early thirties and also gets her bins put out.

My dad ranted that he's nearly 82 and "Fucked with arthritis" his words and he gets no assistance at all.

She won't make old bones that woman if she doesn't do something about her weight soon.

My dad is also stone deaf, back in the 50's when he started his apprenticeship in the Steelworks, safety earmuffs were never heard of.

He's been waiting years to see his consultant about the pain in his back/hands/legs.

Covid is the constant excuse from the hospital.

😠

 Ridiculous!!

How is Daisy supposed to explain her sore ear? And me holding Daisy up to the screen so the Vet can see it was absurd.
