The crown of Scotland may not glitter with diamonds, it's history is priceless in itself.
"Made from gold, silver and precious gems, the crown is the centrepiece of the Honours of Scotland - which are the oldest Crown jewels in Britain and among the oldest in Europe.
The crown was made in its current form in 1540 for King James V of Scotland. In its earliest form, the crown dates back to 1503, when it was depicted being worn by King James IV. "
Today went faultlessly and it was just so poignant! The Scottish people said goodbye to their Queen with dignity and pride. I can certainly see why it was her wish to end her days there.

The scenery is breathtaking in some parts of Scotland, especially the further north you go.
Have you ever been Vam, come again and i'll show you round.
You'll get lost a lot but my hearts in the right place.

Made it up to Ayrshire one time, for a weekend wedding trip.
It’s one of my biggest regrets that, in all the many years I lived in the UK, I never got around to exploring Scotland. I really feel I’ve missed out.
… while I’m on… I can’t help wondering about the folks in that endless queue, when the moment comes for the coffin to leave Edinburgh.
Imagine them standing in line for up to 7 hours, only to suddenly be turned away & denied the chance to pay their respects. I hope some kind of concession can be made for those people.
We saw her plane go over today as it took her back to London, clear skies in Manchester. The only little goodbye we could give her. My hubby got quite emotional.

Maybe one day, eh?
There's still time Vam and you'll love it.
Ayr is nice that's where we went our holidays most years as children, 'Doon the watter' as it's known locally.
I still go most years for the weekend, only time i've missed out was because of Lockdown.

When they gave out the last of the wristbands and folk realised they had missed out they were in tears.

I always said I would go and see the queen in state. Because of my operation recently that's out of the question. I will have to watch it on Tele like billions of others.

No you couldn't queue for hours just after your operation Mags, you need to rest up.
