Two million people are expected to line the streets of London today to pay their respects to the woman who served her country for more than seventy years, we'll never see a woman like her ever again.

A ring of steel will surrond the capital of the United Kingdom with more than 10,000 police officers out in force (700 sent from Scotland) the SAS will also be there.

I hope her Majesty gets the sent off she deserves and i hope there's no trouble.

She really deserves a good send off, and so far has had it.

Her funeral will be spectacular. A magnificent accolade to our majestic queen.

 It was faultless.

One of the most poignant moments for me was hearing that lone Queen’s Piper at Westminster Abbey playing the beautiful lament, ‘Sleep, dearie, sleep’. Especially when the sound of the pipes softly faded away…

And a big up to those fantastic lads of the Bearer Party, who didn’t put a single step wrong. Can’t imagine the pressure they must have been feeling!

Lovely moments when her staff stood with one of her favourite ponies and two of her corgis as the funeral procession passed.

It was so moving till the very end, her coffin being lowered, the piper once more fading into the distance, we won't ever see the like of such ceremony again.

RIP HM Elizabeth 11.

Oh the whole funeral was excellent, carried off to perfection. When queen was lowered, I wasn't expecting that, oh I welled up. Finally realised she's gone for good, her coffin not to be seen again by us.

Thank you for being there all my life your majesty x

The pall bearers were amazing, no mean feat carrying a lead laden coffin in and out of Westminster and up the stairs to St George's Chapel. The marching soldiers, the navy pulling the gun carriage, the people lining the streets, horses, volunteers, organisors, everyone involved to give the queen the send off she deserved and did her proud.

Well done all of them. Thank you. 🤗

It's thought that more than half the worlds population watched the Queens funeral yesterday.

More than any other TV broadcast in history.

oh yeah - that too! But the tearful deal-breaker for me was seeing her Corgis sitting there, expectantly looking around…

And Emma the pretty little pony - did anyone notice how she pawed the ground just as the hearse passed by her? Coincidence? I think not.

I doubt it. She was hardly in the ground and they were coming up with those figures. They actually interviewed some young people in Scotland who said they didn't watch the funeral and had no interest in the Royal family thinking they were out dated and not needed in this day and age.

Clips of people sat in bars in Australia and New Zealand show  a few people sat in a bar. Not much of a crowd. I'd say not many in Ireland would have watched it. America /South America/China/Japan what real interest would they have in watching something that went on for several hours

Unless they were watching it as a news segment in their country I doubt there was any real interest.

 Your memory maybe?lol

We are being told here that quarter of a million people queued up to pay their respects to  the Queen's lying in state, I would have thought the figure was far higher than that.

At one point the wait was over 24 hours...and the queue was 5 miles long a lot of the time.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was the most watched TV ever, though I bet Diana's funeral comes a close second.

I do agree re the figures, they do seem to have managed to get them counted very quickly. I saw the same newsreels of empty bars and venues in various countries, including here...big screens but hardly anyone watching them.

I get the news over here. 😉

I'm also American and have to act a little disinterested. It's part of our psyche.

I do grasp the magnitude of the event, even if I don't really have a great deal of interest beyond the historical relevance.
