I played that Softly Whispering I Love You to my husband

I said do you remember this he said yes but not that version. I got it wrong, I didn't like that blokes voice either, he said it was Mike Curb singers. There also was an original version 67 I think, man duo. I looked it up.

All them dancing looked so laughable, like they had St. Vitis dance! 😂

Cant find a 60's version, do you like this one by the lovely Paul Young?

Wasn't struck on this version. Wasn't a fan of him, he sang from the throat, never took deep breaths at when singing imo.

Thanks though Syl. 🤗

Rod Stewart before anyone had heard of him. Interesting fact - he was paid for the session with a set of seat covers for his car.

Interesting, but Rod Stewart, known as Rod the Mod, was already quite well known round Manchester.

I saw him when he sang with Long John Baldry's group,  Steampacket, that was a few years before he sang on that record.

Bobby Hatfield sang the vocals, sadly died of a cocaine induced heart attack at the early age of 63.

Yes, he had a brilliant voice.  Those high notes, wow!

I knew he died of heart attack, didn't know it was coke induced.  What a waste of talent sadly.
