What of the yiung boys now, that aren't really ready for life?
I also believe that boys need male role models.
I've seen some excellent boys raised by single moms, but I think we are lying to ourselves if we think that doesn't make it more difficult for the boy and his mother..

I agree. Too many one parent families, or families where the male role model isn't much use because the kids he is 'raising' are not his....in short, family breakdown.
All kids need loving role models and discipline, if it's lacking, not only in the family, but in the schools and out on the streets....we have the society we have now, which frankly, in some parts of GB, has broken down...and the problems definitely seem to affect boys more than girls.
