How about something you won't be seeing anymore?

Blossoms shoe polish.

They've thrown the towel in apparently as no one waxes and shines their shoes anymore.

Blokes wearing trainers and other plastic shite.

I have never worn a pair of trainers.

I still shine my shoes and especially wax and shine my boots.

The Chinese will probably come to my rescue.

That was kind of a Sunday morning ritual when I was a child. My dad would shine his shoes before church and make sure us kids had shiney shoes approved by our maker.

Our brand was Kiwi brand and I can smell it now.

Windsor Davies used to come into a club I worked in back in the day.

He was a lovely, modest man, so unlike many of the talentless 'stars' that are popular now.

Often, the more talented the person, the less ego they have, ime.

He was a lovely, modest man, so unlike many of the talentless 'stars' that are popular now.

Windsor Davies was a southerner, and what’s more, real posh.

He wouldn’t have been seen dead in a working mens’s club up north.

Are you sure you don’t mean Bernard Manning? Maybe Joe Longthorne?
