I have been informed my Auntie (the rich one with all those properties who could have helped me) that my Mam is in hospital with a badly broken hip, she has the operation today, I am trying to get through to the hospital because no one else will keep me informed.

Apparently Mam had 75 people before her in A&E - a woman with Dementia and Osteoporosis and it was many, many hours before she was seen.
The NHS is broken.

I'm so sorry to hear of your mums accident, JD, hopefully she will recover quickly.
My MIL broke her hp after falling when she was 100 years old. The medics doubted she would even survive the anaesthetic, she did, recovered well from a hip replacement, and lived another 4 years.
You are right about the NHS, it's never been in such a dire place.

I managed to get through to the hospital, the operation went well and she is now resting.
Do try to get through to your mum at some point to speak to her personally? I'm sure she'll recover OK, so try not to worry. At the end of the day she's your mum as much as she's your brothers' mum.

I did today, she sounded so very weak and I could not understand a lot of what she was saying as she was crying, I think she knew who I was hence she was so upset.
I hated to hear her in such distress and sounding so frail because she was so incredibly strong until a few years ago. :(

Thanks for your support.
Phil.
If you can't get to see her in person, phone again, be as positive as you can be, try to cheer her up.
She is your mum, unless she personally doesn't want to talk to you, you have every right to keep in touch with her.
Looking great, Syl - that bling around your neck is very va-va-voom! Lovely
Well thank you. x
And it just shows not every dress I wear is flowery.
oops!
let‘s just say I don’t think you don’t need much in the way of frou-frou frills on that fab statuesque bod of yours. The more tailored and fitted, the better - IMHO of course!
