Just a few days after a dog attacked a police horse in London, another dog attack by a dog off it's lead, this time in Glasgow.

The dog was attacking Highland Coos and then went for the wee calves and the owner didn't get involved because they were scared,

It will be reported to the police, take the damn dogs off them and charge them before there's another fatality.

That could have been a child. What then? And I think all dogs should be on a lead in public places, end of. You can buy extra long leads if you want to let your dog scamper around.

I agree Digs, they dogs that went for me and Shorty were off leads and out of control, Daisy is only a small dog and if I hadn't grabbed her and lifted her, they would have killed her.

Just yesterday a wee girl in England was attacked by dogs, not sure how serious her injuries are but people have been arrested.

My daughter always has Teddy on a long lead. He's big, very friendly and just wants to play all the time, but it could scare some people. Got to be sensible with dogs.

My cousin's dog is called Teddy, he's just arrived in Scotland.

She's just moved back after about forty years in Germany and Teddy arrived about a month after her to give her a chance to settle in.

Shorty got a new lead recently, longer than the last one, it's a lot better.

Jack was huge, about eight stone.

Some people were wary of him but he was a gentle giant, I always held his lead tight to let folk past though if they weren't keen or looked worried.

Another horror attack.

"SEVENTEEN dogs have been seized by police after a six-year-old girl was seriously injured by a pack of dogs.
The girl was rushed to hospital on Sunday afternoon after the attack in Carrington, Greater Manchester. Her condition is now described as stable.

Police have revealed that 17 dogs were recovered from a property.

Cops have now confirmed that eight dogs and nine puppies were seized after the attack.

A neighbour who caught the horrifying moment on CCTV said: "I was told the girl's older sister helped to fight off the dogs.

Three people arrested on suspicion of owning a dangerous dog have now been released on bail."

I saw a video on Twitter Mags and some moron was walking three of these beasts.

Not only were they not muzzled but not on leads either.

They went for a woman and the idiot in charge couldn't do anything to stop them

Look at that one on Sunday that attacked the wee girl in Birmingham, a man hit it over the head with a shovel and it didn't blink.

I'm up to high doh when I take Shorty out these days.

The Prime Minister has announced today these big brutes are going to be banned.

There was another fatal attack on a 52 year old man in England yesterday.

Someone strangled one of the dogs to try and stop the attack the other one was put down by a vet.

People are actually saying "sausage dogs can turn nasty too"

Aye but if that happened you might need stitches not an undertaker.

Dog went for me and Shorty last year, if it had been one of these brutes, I would be deid.

As it was, I had a sore leg.

Obviously any dog can bite if they have a mind to, some never do because they are gentle and trained.

Like you say, a bite off a smaller dog can't be compared to a bite off one of these huge dangerous untrained dogs.

We had a bull terrier when I was a born to 5 years old, they are a breed that will fight to the death if need be. My dad was a cop, she, Trixie, was always under his control...though with me, she was so protective he actually trusted her with me, she was loyal and guarded me with her life.

Not sure that's a wise thing to do...I would never have trust a dog alone with a baby.'

Shorty is only about 20 pounds but I still wouldn't leave her alone with a child.

People are always remarking on how friendly and good natured she is but it only takes a second for something to spook them and they could turn nasty.

Of course being a terrier it's small animals that are more in danger from her.

That's what she was bred for and she doesn't know the difference between someone's hamster and a wild mouse 🐁
