Another kid dead. Who in their right mind brings a strange adult dog into their family home with tiny tots? We don't know the breed or type yet but you can guess.

The only dog I would bring home is a pup. I did that when mine were little, as we raised the dog a Labrador myself, she was one of my kids.

I would never have had a dog when I don't know it's upbringing, around mine, ever!

People have lost their mind over animals. They think they are children with fur. Dogs are a predator. Loyal and trustworthy when raised correctly (like a dog), but still dangerous. That's why they are effective at protecting things.

Some folks should just keep hamsters..

Surprise Surprise....the dog was an American Bulldog.

Are the parents mad? Well, not mad perhaps but thick as mince. I think parents who do this should be prosecuted. They may as well have brought a loaded gun into the house and given it to the kid to play with.

American Bully or American Bulldog? The former isn't worth a bucket of warm spit. The latter isn't really known for being crazy like it's cousins the Pitbull and Bully.

If I had a dollar for every time I heard "it's not the breed, but how you raise it" I'd be rich.

While that true to a degree, invariably, 90% of the folks who get an aggressive breed suck at training them.

And where I live, it seems like having a shit fence that won't contain a Pitbull, is a prerequisite for owning one.

Our shelters are basically slaughter houses for the breed because folks won't keep them fenced in and won't go get them once they are picked up by animal control..

You can be savaged by a poodle, but the difference is the jaw size and strength. These bully dogs have jaws like steam shovels and neck and jaw muscles that bite down like a hyena. A grown adult would die in those jaws, and have done, never mind a tiny tot. If you look at the statistics in the UK for dog deaths, most are from the American Bully.

And I think the Pit is banned there, so they use the Bully as way to get around the ban.

I have friends that have rescued Pit mixes and they seem to be pretty docile. But they would never leave them off lead around kids.
