Aseries of road closures will take place on the A55 next week. Starting on Monday, drainage works will be carried out on a 5km section of the expressway between J14 for Madryn and J16 at Puffin Roundabout.

That settles it. I won't be driving through Wales on my way to Florida in a few weeks.

Thankfully we got Wales out of our system again a couple of weeks ago, a few days in Barmouth did the trick.

I'm going to Wales in September. Hopefully all be sorted by then.

Drove into Rhyl today and just beside the hotel at the side of the theatre is The Blimp!

They tried launching this thing in May but the seams stared to come apart.

Then they tried another couple of times and failed again and again.

Today it was again set to launch and all was going well until little gusts of wind arrived (12mph)so had to be abandoned again.

No passengers going up four hundred feet to enjoy the views. With this much trouble it's a little off putting to say the least so I won't be getting aboard!
