It happens over and over again.

I wonder what will happen to the social workers in this case, who, because of their fear of being called racist, or more likely, their sheer incompetence, allowed her monster parent/stepparent, to torture and murder her?

Months before when the school reported her facial bruising and her behaviour to social services, which all pointed to the fact she was being abused in the home, they didn't deem it worthy to follow up.

Then, when she was taken out of school, they eventually went to check on her, they actually went to the wrong house, how incompetent and uncaring can people be?

Sara was murdered the following day.

Nothing will happen to any of them I feel Syl. Surrey County Council seemed to be pleased with themselves regarding improving their performances/services.

  • Summary of Ofsted children’s services inspection outcomes for Surrey since 2014:
    • October 2014: inadequate
    • February 2018: inadequate
    • January 2022: requires improvement to be good
    • March 2025: good

https://news.surreycc.gov.uk/2025/11/13/surrey-county-council-statement-surrey-safeguarding-children-partnership-local-child-safeguarding-practice-review-for-sara-sharif/

Look what happened with Baby P’s murder…just sackings, which led 2 of the social workers bringing court cases citing “unfair” dismissal, they lost  whereas Sharon Shoesmith was awarded £679,452 following her unfair dismissal claim. ( https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-28454800#:~:text=The%20former%20head%20of%20Haringey,subjected%20to%20months%20of%20abuse.) and has probably done ok financially with her book.  Shoesmith, apparently, feels she was badly done to. Last I read (a while back now) she was guest speaking at Uni’s crazy

I was trying to remember the name of the woman who stepped down from a one senior job in social services, after a particularly harrowing case involving the loss of a young childs life, only to be given the position of a better paid higher ranking job in another area of social services.

I will have to google.

As the lady in this clip said this beautiful little girl wasn't just killed ,she was tortured. It is one of the most horrific child killings I have heard of. How utterly scared and in pain Sara must have been. The details of her death are too abusive for me to write but I'm sure posters know. Tbh in a way  I'm glad she is safe from those two ghouls and in peace and with the Angels at last.

I abhor genuine racism. But professionals, social workers cannot be too afraid of "causing offence" towards people of Islam  that it prevents them from doing their job. The school had reported bruising on the child and social workers visited to see Sara about this very concern and to me, seeing her draped in a Hijab when the stepmother wore no Muslim garment would of been a huge red flag. Absolutely I would have requested to see the little girl dressed normally  to see if there was bruising. I wouldn't have been worried about causing offence of it was my job to determine if this girl was being abused.crazy

The day before Sara 's passing the social.services going to the incorrect address again just highlights the training and funding that needs to be ploughed into our public services. This country is currently failing abused children. This incompetence comes from too few workers with too high caseloads. That way abused children fall.through the cracks and no one is there to save them. Employ more people in.social care. Train them more. Give them a pay that makes them.galvanised to get up in the morning to do their jobs.

Every sector of the UK is woefully underfunded but this is one of the most brutal.and shocking cases that really brings it home. It angers me that we have to worry about pathetic Trump and his tariffs when we need to be investing in our public services so we can prevent further children being killed and tortured. We all have a responsibility to stop this happening. The former Tory PM Sunak paid as much income tax as a nurse yet his wage was obviously far higher. What the actual fcuk. Tax the wealth, not the wage. We HAVE to invest more in this sector because social workers have such high caseloads that child abuse and the murder of children gets missed. This could all change if enough trained professionals were employed and Governments stopped trying to cut corners to save money essentially gambling with kids lives.

The race element here is also sickening. I don't understand why the professionals handling this case ,even the police, were worried about causing offence. All children are equal..if you see a little girl who is suspected of being physically abused seeing her draped in a sheet at her tender age  screams red flag like nothing else. The evil father no doubt said it was for religious reasons but so what? I do wonder what happened to Sara 's mother. Had she passed away? The stepmother clearly had no maternal feelings or any feelings for the child.

Sorry for the long post but this case really made me angry and sick to my stomach. I do feel those  charged with investigating Sara 's welfare  are using the race card to excuse their mistakes and lack of professional care. Going to the wrong address has nothing to do with not wanting to cause offence does it.bored Our public services are starved of cash certainly but basic case knowledge was lacking here and that beautiful little Angel paid the ultimate price.  There should be no thought of causing offence when investigating a child's physical safety. That should be the only objective.

I hope that evil pair rot in prison until the day they die. How could they want to do such a thing, this child loved and trusted her father and she was such a lovely beautiful girl when not hidden by a black smock. Lessons have to be learnt from this , Sara cannot die in vain.

These are true psychopaths Vam, sick ,twisted and evil.

It's only cases like this where children are the victims and  guilt is undeniable that allow me to.consider the death penalty.

I have followed this case from the start, I could not get that beautiful little girl out of my mind. I appreciate it's a long thread.

Sara's mother Olga, and grandmother are alive and I wrote about them earlier in the thread.

"Sara was made the subject of a child protection plan as soon as she was born in January 2013 because of concerns that she was at risk of harm from her father, Urfan Sharif, and mother Olga Domin, who has suspected learning difficulties.

Olga and Urfan married in 2009 and had a son in 2010.  One year into the marriage, Urfan was arrested for assaulting Olga and an unspecified child. Olga allegedly told social services  that Urfan tightened a belt around her neck, locked her in a room, and took her phone. She also said that he once tried to set her on fire and poured oil on her, but was stopped by her cousin.

Olga's mother said that she knew that Olga was being abused, but did not confront Urfan , fearing that it would worsen it.

He was awarded custody of Sara despite being accused of abusing her siblings and mother for years, it has emerged."

Sara's mother and grandmother speak of the day they identified her body. They had been prevented by the father of having contact with Sara for years.

Oh this man was truly evil.Thank you for telling me this information about her real.mother  and I shall watch the video too.

He should of been behind bars for what he did to the mother alone. He was an obvious danger to women and girls yet he was allowed to home school this girl without  intervention? It makes no sense to me as I'm sure to home school a child you have to give detailed reasons and the authorities do get involved.

In every picture we have seen, Sara is smiling. The one with her in a lovely dress and earrings is the one that stands out to me, her smile looks so real and her eyes are sparkling. I cannot cannot fathom how anyone could hurt her  the way those monsters did without being physically sick.

Sara was known as a happy and lively little girl, but inside she must have been so frightened, she told no one of the abuse she was suffering.

I was involved with a child cruelty case years ago. The little boy who was being abused always had a wide smile on his face, he was so eager to please everyone around him...God knows what happened to him, after he was reported, the family disappeared.

I found this case bloody heartbreaking. I would love to have reached out a cuddle her, heaven knows she didn't get many.

In her short tortured life, she suffered greatly.

This, as well as baby P case and any children this happened to, or is still happening too, please someone help them. Listen to them, look for the signs, and report the parents!
