I don't think this is going to fade away, he is losing his career as we speak.
Investigations are going on at the BBC and Ch4, his tour has been 'postponed' YouTube has suspended his channels from making money from the ads, where he has made millions. They have said they have acted to 'protect their users'. His film career is finished...who wants to employ him now?
Even if he's proved innocent, like Kevin Spacey, his career will never be the same. Should be a lesson to all those narcissistic celebrity big I am's.
Yup.
Most pro football teams here in the US have programs for new players to teach them how to deal with money and fame. It's easy to fall into a trap of using that position to run through the ladies and get entangled with one's that are going to cause you trouble.
Even if that trouble isn't illegal, it can cost you millions or even your career..
The other thing is that the age of sexual consent in the UK is 16. So Brand hasn't actually broken any laws in this area.
Bear in mind the definition of child sexual exploitation which is an offence and for which there's a higher cut off age and which might have applied in this case:
"The definition of child sexual exploitation is as follows: Child sexual exploitation is a form of child sexual abuse. It occurs where an individual or group takes advantage of an imbalance of power to coerce, manipulate or deceive a child or young person under the age of 18 into sexual activity (a) in exchange for something the victim needs or wants, and/or (b) for the financial advantage or increased status of the perpetrator or facilitator. The victim may have been sexually exploited even if the sexual activity appears consensual."
If it was consensual it's within the law. From the sounds of it her mother didn't object, and the girl was willing. This probably accounts for the fact that, so far, he's not been arrested or charged.
She got the use of a car too?
Russell used women as play toys and then discarded them when he got bored.
He was full of himself like so many celebrities and athletes, and certain kind of female was attracted to that "aura".
His wife must be in shock, two young girls and pregnant with her third.
IF a leopard can change it's spots, and he has spent the last years living a different lifestyle, I wonder how many women (it's usually women) will condemn her if she stays with him?

I for one would not.
Well, he was an addict. A great deal of that behavior whether it was illegal, immoral, boorish or whatever was because of that substance abuse.
He has cleaned his act up in that regard and I imagine one of the reasons he did was because he was out of control and made incredibly poor decisions when on whatever he was on..
I think we all know people that are completely different when sober, and those that do get sober basically change their spots..
Of course that doesn't exonerate what they did when they had spots.

As you said in an earlier post, one must walk in the shoes of someone else to appreciate their situation. He's the father of her kids, she loves him, he's cleaned up his act since he met her and so far as we know hasn't cheated on her or slipped back into his sleazy lifestyle. She clearly knew all about his past before she married him. For all we know he's told her all about what happened. So, it's her choice but should she be condemned for it? And to be quite frank, it takes real balls to do what she's doing. It would be easy to throw up one's hands and join the baying social media mob for his blood. Anyone can do that.
If Brand was your child what would you do? Turn your back on him and never speak or see him again? I wouldn't be happy with behaviour like that but I wouldn't abandon my child either. So, those who love him are obviously going to stand by him. Because that's what love is.
Yep, I agree with both.I hope she follows her heart.
Whether she believes his version, or the women who are accusing him, who knows.
A mother's love, or a fathers, is something else. I think we can not like our kids behaviour sometimes, but parental love can't die like romantic love sometimes does.

And yet both are being heavily criticised as though they should turn their backs and join the mob mentality that are acting as judge, jury and executioner.
There's a really unpleasant feel to all this media feeding frenzy. Especially when the really heinous criminals barely get any coverage or attention.

I know he hasn't been tried in a court of law...not even legally charged with anything as yet, (neither was Saville) but I think there are enough people, over a couple of decades, who have known about his behaviour, and, like they do, especially at the BBC, keep quiet.
Well now, thanks to the once 16 year old who opted to speak out, they are all coming forwards.
Whether it's right or not for people to have opinions on that is a matter of opinion.
I think his father, given the sordid history with his son, would have been wiser to keep quiet.
His wife should be left alone, she has no part in all this. By the time they married he was allegedly a changed man.
Women, and women's groups, who like to hold court on what a wife or partner should do, and condemn her for not doing it...should mind their own business, imo.
Ultimately this is a distraction. Rising inflation and our politicians direct foreign policies creating this inflation should be discussed but we are never allowed to discuss such things as otherwise we would be called anti-patriotic etc.

Discuss what you like. As long as you are not breaking the law, or being deliberately insulting, people can and do talk freely.
I am thinking what could be the possible outcomes. I can only think of three outcomes:
a) cleared of all accusations: everything was consensual, legal and within bounds of acceptable pre-sexual, sexual and post-sexual activity.
b) found guilty of all accusations: he was a serial rapist and sexual abuser as defined nowadays: pushed things beyond acceptability and wishes of his partners.
c) behaved in a doubtful manner but accusations cannot be proven in a legal sense.

I don't think he'll be done for many of the accusations. He may get done for the rape one though as she can prove he did it. But you can't prosecute a man for having consensual sex even though he might not have been very nice to the partners in the process. That's not illegal. However, I'd say his career is not ever going to be the same, though it seems he's been channellng more positive outlooks and behaviour into his work and life because he's cleared his addictions and for the first time in his life has to think about others before himself, i.e. his family.
Brand took a blowtorch to establishment narratives in recent years, eloquently articulating the dire state of the planet and waking people up to the nefarious pharmaceutical industrial complex, the WEF’s Great Reset agenda. I reckon he had to be shut up and sadly for him, his past is the ideal springboard to annihilate him.

Yeah, the media and establishment that he so vociferously attacked isn't bothering to wait for anything resembling proof.
They don't need convictions to shut him up.
They already have.
Russell is about half assed crazy, but not stupid. He's been flying close enough to some targets to catch a lot of flak. That's how this game is played..
Not to be beating a dead horse with Bill Maher, but this is where Russell really irritated a lot of folks. He made a mockery of the mainstream on pretty well watched show that's been rolling for 30 years.
Given the insight that Rumble have just provided one can be almost certain that platforms such as Youtube get governments pressurizing them as to what channels to demonitize and remove. Twitter have shown that they had the FBI actually have an office at Twitter HQ telling them who they needed to remove or limit on Twitter. We are told that such social media platforms are independent from government (political) interference but clearly they are not or NOT ALLOWED to be.
