It was The Mirror forum. That closed, and the posters spread around a couple of ongoing forums, or joined the one Micky opened....and Micky's, and of course Dogs, did very well out of that.

More forums popped up a few years later, like this one, most of those forums are no longer here now....disinterest is the main reason.

I do wonder what some of those posters are doing now. Over the years, 16 in my case, there have been some real characters that have come and gone.

Fenella is another one I miss, strong-minded and interesting... we could do with a few more like that now.

 I miss seeing Fen around too. Her stubborn doggedness and acid ‘That don’t impress me much’ attitude used to crack me up - even when we used to ruck with each other. I really hope she’s doing OK.

There’s loads of folks I miss seeing around actually. Although I’ve largely moved on to different online places, I still browse much more than I post. And after almost 10 years in this corner of the www, I guess I still mostly lurk hoping to maybe see some of the names I like appear again! nod

 You or somebody banned my normal IP a week or so ago, so I’m forced to use proxies since then.  If you want to ban someone, ban the bloody username like most people.

Not this lunchtime mind as we were in country pub having lunch, so it was their IP

But It would be a huge coincidence if the patrons of the country pub posted here, don't you think?

I noticed reading through this thread, that Fen got some support after I mentioned she was missed.
It's true though, like someone pointed out, she didn't get that much support when she did post on forums.
She probably got more stick than most, on Dogs, on Micky's various forums, and she was trolled around on here a fair bit too.

Pity people didn't treat her with a bit more respect when she was regular....and I don't say that because we were friends, we often had strong differences of opinion, but fair is fair.

 Indeed.  She was targeted by Vam when she was part of the “cool gang“ on Dogs.  She used to call her Beaky.  But now of course she loved her wink
